Posted August 31, 201014 yr In your opinion, which album is better. Both are exceptional pop albums and both have done well. As well all know The Fame sold 12 million worldwide compared to Circus which sold 4.5 million worldwide. But this thread is to simply voice your opinion on which album is better in terms of the content and it's style. Very hard to choose from the two but but I prefer The Fame .
August 31, 201014 yr I like both, but Circus for me. Circus is not Britney's strongest album, but it's still better than The Fame imo, also The Fame is far better than The Fame Monster, which is really overrated, of course imo.
August 31, 201014 yr The FAME easily, with or without deluxe. 'Circus' passed me easily, it was very average IMO, not up to her 'In the Zone' standards by FAR.
August 31, 201014 yr 'The Fame' by a MILE. 'Circus' got old after about 3 weeks! 'The Fame' and the re-release are still in regular rotation on my iPod!
August 31, 201014 yr I'm a HUGE Britney fan but there is no comparison. 'Circus' was below par for Britters and got old very quickly. 'The Fame' is much much better and 'The Fame Monster' may just be one of my favourite albums everrrr.
August 31, 201014 yr I'd say Circus, i'm a big fan of both acts, but when I first bought 'The Fame' I only listened to the first 5 or 6 tracks, the rest are forgettable IMO :( Whereas 'Circus' clicked with me instantly, 'Womanizer' and 'Circus' were both amazing and even though some of the tracks were below Britney standards they're still a good listen.

August 31, 201014 yr The Fame. I love 'Circus', but it's one of Britney's weaker albums. I blame Jive for making the best tracks f***ing bonus tracks. AMNESIA NOT A SINGLE? PHONOGRAPHY AND QUICKSAND NOT ON THE ALBUM, BUT MY BABY AND MMM PAPI ARE???!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! NEVERFORGET. NEVER.
August 31, 201014 yr I'll say that "Circus" is a weak Britney album, I think they wanted to put safe songs on there (Not even ones that would ever be singles!)... Like the Danja song "Blur" is a safe production against songs we were expecting from him "Gimme More", "Get Naked" etc. Saying that, the album is stronger than "The Fame". I only have about 5 songs of that one still on my iPod, had you said "The Fame Monster" I may beg to differ.
September 3, 201014 yr I don't think 'Circus' is a brilliant album (for reasons Tyler has stated...) but I think it's a hell of a lot better than 'The Fame'. Judging by the singles, I thought 'The Fame' would be brilliant, although they are really the only good songs on there imo. It's not a bad album per se, but I certainly thought there was far more filler than killer. I deleted most of the album after a few listens. As others have said, 'The Fame Monster' was far stronger.
September 3, 201014 yr I think The Fame Monster is stronger due to their being a mix of ballads and dance tracks, unlike The Fame which was mostly dance, but both albums are AMAZING.
