So glad this have been made official now - I wasnt sure with Rob if he was taking the p*** or not  Dissapointed it will feature so many pictures but I am hoping for a lot of written material as well seeing as it's 288 pages. Am so glad that there is so much solo stuff to look forward to - this and the huge box set for the GH (with allt he vids and B-side album) are two things I have been waiting for for years. :D

Apparently the special edition is £1,000 :o :o :o How dare they charge that much for a bloody book, I don't care if it has a ribbon marker :smoke:

Delighted Chris Heath co-wrote it but not so much that the whole book is based on pictures. Am sure most fans will be delighted at that part though :P

Rob's loving Tesco instead

The Sun

ROBBIE Williams has put the success of his new autobiography in the hands of Britain's biggest supermarket chain, Sun City can reveal.

TESCO has signed an exclusive deal to be the only store in the country to sell the Take That star's book You Know Me.

The deal means Tesco has sole rights to the autobiography of the Angels singer in the run-up to Christmas. The tie-up lasts for six months from September 20.

More than 250,000 books are expected to be sold in store or online - at a tenner a pop.

Experts claim Tesco could be making as much as 10 per cent a copy.

Neill Denny, editor of THE BOOKSELLER, said: "The publisher will have obviously thought this will maximise market share.

"That remains to be seen - but it's a significant deal."

Tesco has previously struck exclusive deals on CD and DVD releases.

But this is its biggest yet for a must-have hardback.

The supermarket giant claims it can give more marketing muscle to products it has on an exclusive basis. It typically grabs 25 per cent of the sales of any high-profile book release such as Harry Potter.

But the Robbie deal could enrage High Street booksellers who are already being pushed to the brink by the might of online players such as AMAZON as well as by supermarkets.

Robbie's new book is his second autobiography and is expected to be in huge demand with his millions of fans. It contains 250 photos from his private and public lives.

The book recounts key moments over the last two decades, including Robbie's breakdown in 1996 and his reunion with Take That.

There's no way I could come up with 1,000 quid for a book.....

I think you could drop one of the zeros DeNiro, I doubt it will be that expensive otherwise they will fail to sell, there is a recession on you know ( even though I have registered for one ) ....great to get a new book the same time as the GH package, just faaaaaaaab !! I cannot quite believe it :cheer:

Is the limited edition book signed? either way, I don't think I'ld better put that one on my christmas list

Don't think it is signed - but surely the gold-sprayed page edges and a ribbon marker make it worth the £100 (yeah made a mistake with the 1K I previously posted  ).

Really looking forward to this though - I'd prefer a full written book but I supose this is a good idea for getting through the whole 20 years. I am sure it will be great - 'Feel' remains one of the most fascinating books written about any celeb I have ever read. Chris Heath is such an excellent writer imo.

I'll be getting the normal book - 100 quid is a lot for what is essentially just paper with pictures and text. The only reason I'd think about getting it is because due to only 1,000 being issued - it will rise in value and could be sold for a far greater amount in years to come if kept in mint condition.
Oh, I didn't realise the special edition was going to be so expensive. I registered with the Official Site but I'm not paying £100 for a book. :(

So, has anyone bought this yet? I'm going to Tesco later this week so I'll pick up my copy then. :w00t:

I didn't get an E-Mail about the Special Edition. Not that I'd have bought it anyway. :P

Nope !!!

I got my copy from Tesco's this morning, £10 + 200 Tesco club points, bargain! There wasn't many on

the shelves, just 3 or 4 left.

Tons of yummy Robbie pictures in the book, just flicked through the pages so far,

and read a few snippets that goes with the pictures. I've got to be strict with myself and read

from the beginning

Be careful, there, Sparkle.....too much drooling over those Robbie pics minght cause the pages to get stuck together, then you'll have to get a backup copy or 5 of the book....   :P :P

I'm getting my book tomorrow. Assuming TESCO haven't run out that is. <_<

I don't like being restricted in where I can buy my book. Having said that, I'd probably have bought it in TESCO anyway

Not that I'll be reading it for ages. I've just started Tony Blair's autobiography. It's got 700 pages and I'm only at page 42. :drama:
