So Grimmers, what do you suggest happen to this piece of trash who threw a dog 40 feet to its death. Clearly prison isnt doing anything because he is a previous convict.

Oh Shelli. I'm with Grimly on this one. Much as I'm against animal cruelty, this whole "animals >> humans" attitude is quite ridiculous.

I know this may come across as typical "humans are superior" twaddle, but let's face it, we ARE. I think it's quite sad that someone can have such little regard for their own species.

OK whatever. When did I say I respect life? I respect animal life yes. Dont put words into my mouth

Life is life, FFS.... We are ALL part of nature, there's predators and there is prey, there is the top of the food chain and there is the bottom..... JESUS WEPT dont you even get THAT.....?????

Animals kill other animals for sustenance... And a few animals (like humans, apes, lions and, bizarrely, dolphins) kill over things like territory and even for pleasure.... It's nature, nature is savage and brutal, not soft and fluffy....

I dont think we are superior. You might but I dont. I find humans mostly nasty, repulsive, greedy and selfish

LOL yes animals might kill other animals for pleasure, but we should surely know better as humans because we are supposed to be superior

Not what YOU suggest that's for sure.... I would very tempted to make him shovel sh"t out of dog kennels every weekend for the rest of his life.... There you go, an apt punishment.... Something constructive too....

Animals make me feel special and happy. Most humans make me feel angry and upset. So I prefer animals.

Why are we even arguing anymore. Some people prefer animals, some prefer humans. Why cant it be left at that

You've just contradicted your own argument there...

Every weekend? Id say everyday until he was dead

Dolphins and apes are intelligent creatures... And seeing as how we are evolved from apes (we share 98% DNA), we are just actually reverting to our baser, animal instincts. Certain things are hardwired, and sometimes the beast gets loose.... Human nature I'm afraid...

You made it plain you have no respect for human life, I can't let that slide.... Sorry...

Well if we're not superior, then by your reasoning there'd be nothing wrong with us killing animals for pleasure, just like the rest of the animal kingdom!

Good point....

Whilst I wouldnt say I preferred Animals to humans and 100 people dying is probably worse than one dog, however, that act is absolutely disgusting and he deserves to be in jail for far longer than 26 weeks  - its just pure cruelty, we are animals at the end of the day- and an act like that is barbaric and inhuman

I doubt that was the maximum sentence which could be given and if it was, that is highly worrying
