Posted July 16, 200619 yr My top 4 predictions: 1. Chelsea 2. Liverpool 3. Man Utd 4. Spurs / Arsenal Now this season I don't think that Chelsea will walk the title at all, and the most pressure will come from Man Utd and Liverpool and possibly Arsenal and Spurs. IMO Chelsea could soon crumble. Abramovic is suppsoivley wanting Roberto Carlos from Real Madrid and Mourinhio doesn't want him. If Carlos does come then it will only add to the egos already at Chelsea. They have at least 2 decent players in every position and not every player will play week in week out. Last season players like Duff and SWP hardly featured for Chelsea and now they've captured Sheva and Ballack. IMO Ballack is a pointless signing for Chelsea as they already have a decent midfield  Liverpool have signed some good players which will add even more depth to their squad. Bellamy looks like he could be a coup and if they signed another striker and a right winger then they could be real strong title contenders. Man Utd, well they need to bolster their midfield first unless Fergie thinks that Fletcher can become there new Keane. Nistlerooy is suppsoivley on the verge of joining Real Madrid and they want Defoe as a replacement. Defoe is a quality striker but not as good as Nistelrooy. I'm still un-convinced about Arsenal. Rosicky is a good signing for them but they've lost influencial figures throught the past two seasons in Vieria and Campell, and although Fabregas is a good player I think he's a tad over-rated. Arsenal also need another striker IMO. Spurs will be looking for Champions League football this seaon and if they keep hold of their best players then it could be a possibility. I don't know how well Berbatov and Zokora or whatever you call him will play like in the league this season. I won't even bother doing a bottom three prediciton this season as I normally always get them wrong, although I think Wigan could struggle this year along with the three newly promoted sides.
July 16, 200619 yr 1. Arsenal -------------------- 2. Chelsea 3. Liverpool 4. Spurs -------------------- 5. Man Utd  6. West Ham 7. Portsmouth 8. Newcastle 9 Blackburn 10. Everton 11. Bolton 12. Charlton 13. Aston Villa 14. Man City 15. Wigan 16. Middlesbrough 17. Reading -------------------- 18. Watford 19. Sheffield United 20. Fulham I think the top four will be pretty close but I have a feeling that Arsenal might just about edge it over Chelsea this season because I think players will start to get pissed off at the stupid amount of competition there and Liverpool and Spurs have made good signing that'll make their teams even better than last season. Meanwhile unfortunately unless Fergie can get his act together then we'll struggle next season as right now even Spurs are better than us, we need a midfielder and a striker but Ruud shouldn't be going anyway as he's already one of the best strikers in the world and my prediction reflects the bad move that I think it is by selling him -_- Portsmouth will have a good season as I think Harry Redknapp will be like Paul Jewell and spend the vast amount of money he has when he needs it instead of just for the sake of it -_- Villa because of Ellis they'll probably be further down the table but O'Leary has got some good youngsters through like he did at least (but maybe not as good) which he has to rely on and I think they MIGHT play better as a team next season but I'm sure they'd be higher if O'Leary was given some money for a change. -_- Reading have the best squad out of the promoted teams but still I think they'll struggle slightly as they don't have enough depth to it imo and Fulham just don't have the quality AT ALL to stay up again especailly as they keep selling their stars.
July 16, 200619 yr 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Spurs 4. Liverpool 5. Newcastle 6. Man Utd 7. Man City 8. West Ham 9. Bolton 10. Blackburn 11. Everton 12. Portsmouth 13. Fulham 14. Charlton 15. Middlesborough 16. Wigan 17. Watford 18. Reading 19. Villa 20. Sheff Utd
July 16, 200619 yr 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. Man Uted Unfortunly, Chelsea will properly win and Arsenal who I love will come 2nd or 3rd.
July 17, 200619 yr 1. Chelsea -------------------- 2. Liverpool 3. Spurs 4. Arsenal -------------------- 5. Man Utd 6. West Ham 7. Everton 8. Newcastle 9. Bolton 10. Blackburn 11. Portsmouth 12. Man City 13. Wigan 14. Charlton 15. Middlesbrough 16. Reading 17. Watford -------------------- 18. Sheffield Utd 19. Fulham 20. Aston Villa This will be Alex Ferguson's last season as manager as the crass stupidity of keeping the diving cheat with a bigmouth & no loyalty Cristiano Ronaldo will come back to haunt him & the club. I wonder what price you can get on C.Ronaldo & Rooney or Saha & C.Ronaldo having a "Bowyer/Dyer incident"? Ideally I'd like to see them meet Real Madrid in the knockout stage of the European Cup & get knocked out thanks to "Man U Rejects" © Manchester Utd FC official forum - Beckham & Ruud Van Nisterooy. I also think this will be the year when Aston Villa & Fulham finally implode. Unfortunately Chelsea will continue to win the League until Roman Ambramovich gets bored of his little toy.
July 17, 200619 yr 01 Chelsea (Obvious) 02 Liverpool (Improved more than United have again and should really see them overtake) 03 Man Utd (Not improved enough) 04 Tottenham (Lord knows where they're getting the money from but it's certainly going to work. Signing Berbatov/Duff/Zakora should put them ahead of The Arse) 05 Arsenal (Not improved enough compared to Spurs, need atleast 3 good signings to stand a chance) 06 Newcastle (Roeder looks like a good manager, if Luque can continue scoring this is highly likely) 07 Man City (Pearce's magic will work this year, Micah Richards will shine through and no doubt be linked with a £10m+ move to Chelsea) 08 Blackburn (Will continue last years progress..) 09 West Ham (Will continue to improve but Europe may damage slightly) 10 Everton (Around the same as last year...) 11 Bolton (Big Sam can always work some magic but I think last season was their best chance of Europe) 12 Portsomouth (Redknapp is a good manager and they have a hell of a lot of money to spend, will improve a lot on last season) 13 Sheffield United (Love him or hare him, Neil Warnock is a great manager and I think they can finish this high) 14 Reading (Got a good manager like Sheffield but I think they lack the quality to get higher, I'm sure this will be a success for them though) 15 Wigan (Losing Bullard and Roberts and signing Heskey isn't going to work in their favour) 16 Middlesbrough (Inexperienced manager, don't think he'll do well eithere) 17 Charlton (They're usually always higher but I think their time may be running out) 18 Fulham 19 Aston Villa (Both of these need to invest, and quickly, otherwise it's releagation) 20 Watford (Won't survive, Marlon King has had his good season so will now have three bad ones, don't have any real quality which will see them stay up)
July 17, 200619 yr 04 Tottenham (Lord knows where they're getting the money from but it's certainly going to work. Signing Berbatov/Duff/Zakora should put them ahead of The Arse) We have sold a lot of players over the last 2 years infact we have raised much more through player sales than we spent then there is the Mansion House and Puma deals (another £15m a year) + Sky TV money and up to £10m compensation for Arnesen etc etc etc, we still probably have enough in the kitty for another £15m to spend
July 17, 200619 yr I'm pleased, it makes a change from the usual big four. Shame ou lost to Arsenal on the final day. You couldn't loan us Any Reid back either could you, I'd love that!

If only ;) anyways he might be on his way soon too possibly, Duff is due to sign in the next couple of days then there is Nedved rumoured to be on his way so likely Reid and Ziegler will be sold or at the very least loaned so its not impossible
July 17, 200619 yr 01. Chelsea - Will underachieve MASSIVELY considering their squad. Should have the strength and cover to get their thrid consecutive Title though. 02. Manchester United - Sure, United haven't got the super squad nor have they excelled so far in the transfer market but Carrick and Torres should be enough to hold them through the season consistently and get them a top 2 finishing. 03. Liverpool - Strengthened up a lot and seemed to have finally found the gelling formula. Without any major setbacks they could finish way above fourth and really give United and Chelsea a run for their money. 04. Arsenal - Will miss Pires in midfield and I cant see Rosicky being the answer to their problems. Are going to struggle if they don't take advantage of the coming months in the Transer Window. 05. Tottenham - Young, agressive and fresh squad for them. Can't see Jol lasting THAT long there though :o 06. Blackburn - Will take advantage of other big name clubs flailing and will scrape into Europe. 07. West Ham - Good signing, if they handle Europe in the right manner than they can continue their steady progress into a team to fear. 08. Portsmouth - They've got the money and only lack the big name talents. Will perform well enough to make the top half. 09. Newcastle - Not really bought THAT well from the transfer market and will be dependant on a certain group of players. Will have a good start but once injury sets in they will fade away. 10. Man City - If they manage to not crumble again then they can do well. Another step in their graudal learning process. 11. Bolton - Lots of the high quality players that have shone through for them in previous seasons have departed. Can't see them looking that good this year. 12. Everton - Average season. Won't look particularly good or bad. 13. Charlton - Another solid season. If the manager settles in well then I can't see them doing badly. 14. Sheffield United - They've got the talent. If the manager can keep his temper under control and not drag the team through unneccessary bad press then they will do well. 15. Aston Villa - Past it now. Will be down within the next three seasons. 16. Reading - Won't go straight back down but won't have a particularly great season. 17. Wigan - Looked vulnerbale towards the end of last season. They won't have the adrenaline-rushed start like last season and have sold some key players in their team. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18. Fulham - Have been on the verge for the last few years. This will be the season that they finally get the drop. 19. Middlesborough - Southgate will be the final straw. 20. Watford - Not as dismally bad as Sunderland but they just don't have the quality. Simple as.
July 17, 200619 yr Jol is going nowhere :) Before Den Caat or whatever his name is took the Ajax job 2 months ago Jol was offered it and turned it down and Ajax are a huge club so I don't see him going anywhere unless its to Barcelona or Real Madrid Edited July 17, 200619 yr by Ozzy Osbourne
August 2, 200618 yr I reckon: 1 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 3 Manchester United 4 Liverpool 5 Newcastle United 6 Blackburn Rovers 7 Tottenham Hotspur 8 Bolton Wanderers 9 Manchester City 10 West Ham United 11 Everton 12 Charlton Athletic 13 Reading 14 Middlesbrough 15 Portsmouth 16 Aston Villa 17 Fulham 18 Sheffield United 19 Watford 20 Wigan Athletic
August 2, 200618 yr 1. Chelsea ....I think this season will see them start to lose/draw a few more matches, but not quite enough to see them slip yet. 2. Liverpool ....a well bolstered side this year, with some good recent signings. I think they'll give Chelsea a good run for their money, but not do quite enough - probably losing a few too many matches that should be easy wins!!! But I think they'll close the points gap greatly. 3. Tottenham ....again good signings and a team ready to challenge! 4. Man U ....I think Fergie's had too much sherry this 'open' season :P and he's forgotten he needs to sign a few more players. I reckon this season will see him leave under a cloud and they'll drop off the pack by quite a margin. 5. Arsenal ....not up to the job IMO....plus my brother-in-law supports them! Which, believe me, is enough reason to hate them!!!! That's about as far as I'm prepared to go!!!!

August 3, 200618 yr I really don't get why people are STILL saying United haven't bought enough players. Carrick is there in an attempt to fill the void that Keane left. Marcos Senna is as good as there now, and United are leading the race for Torres who has said he wants to go to United. That's three world class signings and tbh they only NEED one striker to replace RVN and one holding midfielder. At this point it looks like they are going to get an added player in Senna.

August 3, 200618 yr Author The Carrick signig for Man Utd is a good signing as he'll bolster their midfield greatly and even though Fergie is stating he won't play like Keane its obvious that Fergie seems him as a long term Keane replacement. Senna would be another good player who whould sbolster Man Utd's midfield but I hope Man Utd don't buy Keane, a si'd prefer Chelsea too as they'll be paying about 15 million too much for him as IMO he's an incredibly over-rated player and they'd be better going ofer Toni or Klose as a RVN replacement.
