August 3, 200618 yr Oh dear, Spurs 3rd and Arsenal 5th ? LOL :D Well, I may be a mere female, but we'll see!!! :P LOL But to be honest, no matter how well Arsenal were playing I'd always rate them low because of my brother-in-law!!! He's hateful, so there's no way I'll give anything he likes any credit!!!
August 4, 200618 yr Arsenal certainly aren't going to improve on their position of last year. No Cole, no Campbell, no Bergkanp, no Pires, Clichy, Senderos and Diaby out for the first 6 weeks. And all they've bought in is Rosicky. Not a chance they'll challenge with United and Liverpool.

Buy overrated Carrick and Senna.
August 4, 200618 yr Scholes and Heinze return too. Just as good as two new signings. They were already 16pts ahead of Arsenal. Arsenal certainly haven't improved enough to close a gap that big!
August 4, 200618 yr BUT Arsenal had way more injuries than all of the other top 4 clubs, I'm not trying to say we'd of done a LOT better. But we'd certainly have done better if players like, Cole, Campbell, Lauren, Clichy, Henry, Hleb, Ljungberg, Gilbert, Senderos as well as others weren't injured for quite a long length of time. Take Rooney, Ferdinand and Ronaldo, 3 of their best players, if they were injured, for a long period of time, and they wouldn't be able to cope.
December 27, 200618 yr Time to dust this off seen as we're half way through the season now. 01. {02}Manchester United - Strengthening their squad with Larsson and 6 returning loaned players could well see them keep their lead above Chelsea. January will be their 'make or break' month. ---------------------------------------------------------- 02. {01} Chelsea - Proved time and time again that they are prone to dropping points, and as long as they keep conceeding 2 and 3 goals each game then their goal difference is never going to get the better of Manchester United's. 03. {04} Arsenal - Rocky start to the season but will have a bright finish. With Henry back and the potential to buy some more players in the transfer window they should have the quality to ease past any other threats for 3rd place. 04. {04} Liverpool - When they look good they loook VERY good. But when they have a bad run they look awful. Desperately missing Sissoko as well. As long as they avoid anymore damaging injuries then they should have the strength to get into the top 4. Next season will be their season. 05. {11} Bolton - They have some INCREDIBLE players within their squad which will carry them to a top 5 finish if they continue to shine. Jaaskelainen and Faye are the definition of solidity at the back, Kevin Nolan is one of Englands best central midfielders atm and Anelka and Diouf are both on fine form. 06. {05} Tottenham - Looked dodgy at the start of the season but they have the squad, the back-up and the bank balance to continue grinding out results until May. ---------------------------------------------------------- 07. {08} Portsmouth - My suprise package at the begining of the seaon and they haven't disappointed. The next few months will be their toughest yet though, considering most of their best players are 30+. When injuries set in they'll crumble slightly. 08. {09} Newcastle - Their midfield has massive potential. Once they get over their injury crisis I can't see any reason why they won't continue to flourish in the final few months of the season. 09. {06} Blackburn - Not had the start that they wanted but they are finally starting to find their feet. Not quite big enough to challenge the big teams but they certainly have the squad to finish in the top half. 10. {12} Everton - Passable as always. Not entirely sure if I'm being a tad harsh here though as Cahills return will obviously help strengthen their all-round performances. 11. {16} Reading - By no means do they have the all round package to finish any higher than this but considering they've gone 4 months and are still looking strong (despite a few hiccups) I feel they can maintain this and really be a tough side to beat. 12. {10} Manchester City - If Micah goes to Chelsea in January then they're screwed. If not then they should do fairly well. Going through a rough phase at the moment but Stuart Pearce knows how to disciple them. They have the talent to do big things, it's just a question of when their luck will change really. 13. {15} Aston Villa - No wins in eight games means the cracks are finally starting to show. They'll never look awful as O'Neill is a specialist in defence and will make sure they never lose horrendously but the size of their squad is the deciding factor. Once injuries set in they'll plummet. 14. {07} West Ham - Once they start to find form again they should do alright. They have some outstanding players but whether they'll remain there come January is another matter. Their final position all depends on the transfers into and out of the club in the window. 15. {18} Fulham - They simply don't have the talent to be anything more than a club scrapping it out in the relegation zone. They've proved this time and time again this season by dropping points in unneccessary circumstances. 16. {17} Wigan - Decent start but their squad is tiny. They have the quality to avoid the drop but they'll have to work for their third season in the Premiership. 17. {14} Sheffield United - It'll be close, very close, but I can see the Blades managing to rescue themselves right at the end and get themselves a second season in the Premiership. ---------------------------------------------------------- 18. {13} Charlton - Simply awful start to the season. Pardew will make improvements within the club but a lot of damage has been done to Charlton and, personally, I can't see them staying up. 19. {19} Middlesborough - Well considering they have Southgate as a manager they've not done TOO bad. Gonna be all too similar to the last time they were relegated - they've got the talent there, but it's just not being utilised at all. 20. {20} Watford - We've seen it one numerous occasions all ready, they lack the quality to be in the Premiership.
December 27, 200618 yr 1. Chelsea - Bottomless pit financially, another £50m+ spent in Jan will be loose change 2. Man U - Doing great so far but an injury crisis would **** them up 3. Arsenal 4. Liverpool 5. Bolton 6. Newcastle 7. Portsmouth 8. Spurs - In the middle of an injury crisis and a lot of games to come with doing well in cups (all 4 strikers doubtful for Saturday and Jol thinking of drafting in Davenport as striker), away form not good enough for a Top 6 finish 9. Everton 10. Reading 11. Blackburn 12. Villa 13. Man City 14. Wigan 15. Fulham 16. West Ham 17. Boro 18. Sheff Utd 19. Charlton 20. Watford
