September 14, 201014 yr I think it's good that it doesn't *fit* the current climate? It'll make the charts more diversive which is a very good thing. And I'm sure it will do well, at least during the first week.
September 14, 201014 yr Really like this it has an eighties sound but the intro is really good.Hope she can go Top 5 or No 1.It is far far better than the mess that is Promise This.
September 14, 201014 yr Excellent song, diverse, catchy and something different. Can't see this going anywhere other than #1 and being absolutely massive. She needs to get the style right though. Something sexy but slick and not too much.
September 14, 201014 yr I'd love it to be top 3 but I voted Top 10 I'm thinking it could end up anywhere between #5-#15 but probably #7 or #8
September 14, 201014 yr I really don't like it! It's just not catchy in the slightest. Top 20 on name alone.
September 14, 201014 yr Im sure this will be number 1 if she can get an XF slot, I remember people were unsure whether FFTL would get number 1 at first I do quite like it- has a very retro feel to it, and well her vocals are certainly better than Cheryls
September 14, 201014 yr She's hardly the most popular in GA is she? Doubt she'll get much more than number 5 :(
September 14, 201014 yr Is she not likely to get an X-factor appearance surely that would help for Top 5 at least.
September 14, 201014 yr Hmm, from memory her only good competition the week its released is the McFly/Taio Cruz track (McFly are unsure whether the version they will use will have Taio on it or not). Depends on who's released the week before. Haven't played the full track yet but I'd say top 3.
September 14, 201014 yr It's just not that exciting to me. I really want to like it but it's boring me. And she isn't that popular, so I don't think it'll do well on name alone.
September 14, 201014 yr It's incredibly forgettable. Nice enough while you're listening to it, but then it ends and you pretty much forget everything. After 5 listens I still only remember the "woah! who knew" bit. And why does everybody think she would get an X Factor performance anyway? Just 'cos she's in the same band as Cheryl? As if she has any say in who gets put on the show anyway. Simon is more interested in his own acts than Nadine, who I doubt he has much interest in. Top 20 for this. But top 5 if she somehow does manage to bag an X Factor slot (which I don't see happening for the reasons I said above). Edited September 14, 201014 yr by superbossanova
September 14, 201014 yr Shes not popular but its going to do well on name alone? Doesnt really add up imo. She will do well.
September 14, 201014 yr I'm really not seeing how people think this will only go top twenty at best? It's definitely a surefire top ten at worst - I think people are letting their own opinions on the track cloud any chances of a sane prediction for a track which has had a great reception in many quarters...
September 14, 201014 yr I'm really not seeing how people think this will only go top twenty at best? It's definitely a surefire top ten at worst - I think people are letting their own opinions on the track cloud any chances of a sane prediction for a track which has had a great reception in many quarters... And some people aren't doing the same with predictions of a #1 hit? :heehee: It's not that I'm letting my opinions cloud my judgement (I actually like the track anyway), it just seems to be lacking in much of a hook/anything really memorable which is kind of essential to get a big hit these days, so I'm not quite getting the "huge #1!" predictions. Although saying that, the Girls Aloud fanbase may get it top 10. I actually forgot about that when making my original post. So with that in mind I'm willing to bump my prediction up to #6 at the highest, but I really don't see it going much further. I'm perfectly happy to eat my words if I'm wrong though.
