Which is of course why if Syco wanted him to do well he should never be releasing in the November/December period. The single even has the X Factor charity single against it! You really couldn't make the whole thing up it's like they are plotting for him to fail - either that or they are really useless. Poor Shayne, he badly needs a break of some sort. Acoustic performance of Obsession - The original I posted was removed. Now that's a very good performance and why the heck are people all going so overboard about Matt Mcardle on x-factor? they already have the very same thing with Shayne, crazy.
October 27, 201014 yr Your right there,a great vocal performance. Wonder why the powers that be did not choose this as lead single! If he does not get an x/fact slot it will be a travesty. Apart from the fact he really does need it to boost his profile,he has in a way earned the right to be there imo. The competition is huge so don't see a no 1. I always wondered why Olly was signed as they have the real deal in front of them. Found Olly quite ordinary vocally on x/factor. Oh well thats the way it goes.

October 28, 201014 yr He needs the X Factor appearance. As a winner he should get one. If not we will know he has been well and truly stitched up. He's releasing in the busiest weeks of the year, after a three year gap that isn't really a good idea. Syco should have never considered November unless there is a definite X Factor slot.

October 28, 201014 yr An uncut video wouldnt be shown on TV if its what i think you mean..so would definitely not get it any higher up the chart. I dont see top 3 thats very ambitious, i think he'd be happy with top 10, hope its a hit and his album does well, he needs to promote EVERYWHERE. He has every right to be there and should not have been ignored by the programme (and Simon Cowell) since 2007. Hope he does well - it will still be tough, but a great help I'm sure.

October 29, 201014 yr Wonderful news for Shayne re x/factor slot. He is atm in China going to perform at Miss World contest,which of course is great exposure! Only wish they would give him more of that type of exposure in his own country,maybe they will soon.

Yes although I'm really pleased he's got an appearance on X Factor - which he deserves, I think he will still struggle as he's getting no airplay. The fact that it's a cover isn't helping him either. I think the single will struggle to get into the Top Ten and the album even more as 'Gotta Be Somebody' is not the sort of song that will sell the album. I'm sure if Simon Cowell and Syco really wanted Shayne to do well they should have released an original song after three years. I'm not convinced that the best decisions are being made for him - and that's been the way throughout his career. I hope I'm wrong though - I'd LOVE him to do well.
