Pleased that Shayne has held no 14 in todays update but with no more signings to add to sales I hope he doesnt drop too many places. Still hoping for a top 10 position but know thats being optimistic.

I am over the moon at 11. :yahoo: Hope he can manage to creep into top 10. Fingers crossed. Good turnout so far at his signings apparently!

I so wanted to like this album as wasnt overly keen on last album "obsession" and happy to say "closer" is fab. Such a variety of songs and a surprise track to me Is "rendezvous". Shaynes vocals on" If you were here tonight","about you now" and" no promises" are stunning. Hoping for some sort of success as this album deserves it. He is on Wogan tomorrow on radio 2 hopefully singing a couple of songs. :)

Me too. He will need high profile promotion and of course AirPlay. Have heard it played a couple of times and believe he has a radio tour planned but weather that will be enough remains to be seen. The music business is crowded!!

Would appear to be a 50/50 split with upbeat tracks and ballads. Shayne's voice IMO suits ballads the best. Pleased that Mike Stock has produced this album and hoping that it has some success. Wonder what sort of promo it will get!

Hi. Shayne Ward sold 313k of Winners single "That's my goal" in 2 days and 742k overall for the week.

A dreary and forgettable tune...should have had a "joyous feel " imo. Can't see it doing very well in the charts!

I agree totally with that,although I have like some of the contestants over the years. The placings in the charts are often to do with who is popular at the moment,hype of course and nothing at all to do with the song.

Shayne's management have said there is another deal in the pipeline and it will be announced shortly.

What an absolutely fantastic album this is! Have listened a couple of times now and every track is outstanding and my fave would be "lovesong " A class act that's for sure. :heart:

Will Young has another album out think may/june. He always does pretty well and am sure he will do well as always. Shayne ward's single "Obsession" out in feb. The accoustic version is fantastic but how well album version will do I'm not sure. Hopefully better than "gotta be somebody" It is a much better tune!

I was a bit nervous about this album but have to say I am pleasently surprised by it. In fact I think I like it better than "Breathless " it seems to flow better somehow! Yes his vocals are outstanding and there are some great tunes on it. "Foolish " atm sticks out for me but will probably change my mind after a few more listens. Well done Shayne.
