Posted July 16, 200619 yr what do they actually do? what would happen to someone who was pulled in by them? what happens when 2 blackholes meet? is one destroyed?
July 16, 200619 yr Author If I remember correctly I think they are caused by imploding stars. <_< i know that, i did it in pshyics, it's the gravity of a star collapsing in on itself after a supernova
July 16, 200619 yr i know that, i did it in pshyics, it's the gravity of a star collapsing in on itself after a supernova then why ask?
July 16, 200619 yr Yip. That sounds familiar. And they have an 'Event Horizon'. I think that's the point beyond which everything gets sucked in and there's no escape. I don't know that they actually 'do' anything. I think they just 'are'. And I'm not sure if they ever meet other ones. If they were formed by collapsing stars they probably just stay in the place the actual star was. But I'm not an astro-physicist so don't quote me on that! :P
July 16, 200619 yr Author then why ask? cos thats all i know. i don't know the questions i asked, why would i ask questions i already know the answer to?
July 16, 200619 yr Author This might help :) http://cosmology.berkeley.edu/Education/BHfaq.html thanks alot ^_^
