September 28, 201014 yr Andy was so utterly pedestrian. His Eurovision entry described non-song - from the moment I heard it I knew we'd be in the bottom five in Eurovision that year, he fully deserved to come last. As much as the panel kept saying 'he's a professional and he'll definitely sing in tune and won't let us down' - whilst this is all very true, who cares if you're in or out of tune on a complete nothing of a song? As an ESC loon, I still can't even remember how the song goes from memory - only if I play it
September 28, 201014 yr Lloyd was just too weedy vocally, he would have been fine in a boyband 10 years ago but he just didn't have it Andy was just awful, couldn't stand him and I love soul music
September 28, 201014 yr Lloyd was annoying, he only got through coz of the gays and girls votes. Let's be honest. Andy was alright, best of a really bad bunch that year, but I agree that he was nothing that special.
September 28, 201014 yr Andy was a decent singer, but it was all very karaoke (as is everything on this show I suppose but Andy took it to the extreme somewhat). Lloyd was a decent singer, and was actually one of my favourites initally, but it was clear his vocals were weak (not helped by the ridicolous song choices given to him, who in their right mind gives the weak singer Bleeding Love to sing? Another fine example of Cheryl's brilliant mentoring).

Disagree about the gays, he wasn't particularly popular on BJ and BJ is a case of spot the straight guy it has so many gay members
September 28, 201014 yr Well even I can admit he was good looking even though I don't really like him. I think he did have a fairly big gay fanbase, but you're right, it was probably more the teenage girl vote. No one can really say he had an amazing voice, average at very best. His version of 'Bleeding Love' in particular was awful.

Yeah I remember him getting a lot of ridicule on here last year probably 3rd after Danyl and Jedward so given the sizeable gay population on BJ I thought it right to query whether he had a big gay fanbase
September 28, 201014 yr I didnt think Andy was that bad! :o he was good on XF, his eurovision entry was dire but so are most! he seems very dated now though Whilst Lloyd was never awful, it became clear he was the weakest singer there when it got to the final stages, its quite annoying that he stayed over the likes of Lucie Jones and Jamie Archer
September 28, 201014 yr People prasing Lloyd but slagging off Andy. :drama: I didn't realise Andy had been more successful chart peak wise in Ireland. Lloyd was easily the second best of the boys last year - a million miles behind Joe but ultimately a million miles ahead of the hidious Ricky!!! Andy did well because series 2 of The X Factor was crap and the final 3 acts were definitely the best 3 although Brenda (4th) was alright. Maria Lawson deserved better, imo.
September 28, 201014 yr Author 28. Danyl Johnson 36 points http://i53.tinypic.com/35tvq.jpg Mentor: Simon Cowell Voted By: X gunners X, Leonardo2505, troylovesmusic, Lukuzz, Vülker Danyl Johnson was previously a member in two groups Upfrunt and StreetLevel. When StreetLevel disbanded Danyl decided to audition for the X Factor in 2006, however failed to make it past the first few rounds and was unable to audition infront of the judges. He then auditioned again - This time making it infront of the judges. Simon Cowell described his audition as "the best first audition I have ever heard". Danyl finished the competition in 4th place, just missing out on a place in the final. Johnson came out as bisexual during the show in the national press, fearing kiss-and-tell stories. Following his performance of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" in the first live show, Dannii Minogue said, "If we're to believe what we read in the papers, there was no need to change the gender reference" (referring to the song's lyrics), causing outrage amongst viewers. Minogue later apologised for any offence caused. In August 2010 he revealed he is going to go to New York at some point to record an album.
September 28, 201014 yr I didn't mind Danyl at all. Felt bad for him when he sang out of tune in "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" though. I really enjoyed his performance of "Man in the Mirror"! Edited September 28, 201014 yr by Mattias
September 28, 201014 yr Ugh, I hated him- his audition was good, but after that he totally overdid every song he sang and came across as so arrogant and I hated his voice- what made it worse was Simon's total arse licking of him giving him a standing ovation every fecking week!
September 28, 201014 yr With Danyl, whilst there was perhaps a bit too much stick being thrown at him, there was equally too much praise being thrown aswell. Wherever or not he really was, he was appearing a bit smugand Simon was very much so not helping this issue. In my opinion he should have been eliminated over Miss Frank when he hit the bottom 2 for the first time. Poor Dannii making an arse of herself by outing him remains his best moment.
September 28, 201014 yr I have no idea what the judges were on last year, constantly spewing out things like 'that was the best performance I've ever seen in a show like this'. Only Dannii actually seemed to be giving truthful feedback most of the time and I hope it doesn't happen again as Simon used to always be the one relied on to be honest. I'll never get how Danyl's out of tune murdering of one of the songs got yet another 'world class performance' glowing review from Simon :drama:
September 28, 201014 yr Danyl Johnson was truly horrific, I agree with Aled he really should've been eliminated against the far superior Miss Frank.
