November 5, 201014 yr its good to have a book like this at the end of each decade, so i will def be buying this.are they doing the same for the albums? There was a 2009 'Hit Albums' Book. It is far better than the 2008 'Hit Singles' Book. There will be a 2011 'Hit Albums' Book - IF the 2010 'Hit Singles' Book has decent Sales. (So, it is in 'Chart Fans' hands really - as to whether we get future Singles & Albums Books).
November 7, 201014 yr Author its good to have a book like this at the end of each decade The way things are going, that might be when it turns up, for some of us that ordered it...
November 8, 201014 yr Author The way things are going, that might be when it turns up, for some of us that ordered it... My copy finally arrived today! :yahoo: Lots of good lists, e.g. best-selling 'catalogue' singles - downloads for those that first charted before 2004.
November 9, 201014 yr Author Finally got my copy too :D I've spotted a couple errors so far. The two minor tweaks I'd like to see : T10 entries highlighted. Clearer indication of multi-credited singles.
November 9, 201014 yr Got my copy yesterday and I'm quite impressed. Lots of interesting data, like the top 50 catalogue downloads (i.e. released before Sep 2004) which I hadn't seen before, was pleased to see DJ Sammy's Heaven in the top 20, even despite the fact that it's never been properly added to iTunes, only available for cherry picking from compilations. I know they'd never reveal it but I'd be really interested to see how many of its post 2004 sales have been for the Candlelight version - a high percentage I'd imagine!
