May 29, 201114 yr lol What qualification has Nicole(person which for many years unsuccessfully is trying to release an album in US) to give advice to young talent?
June 4, 201114 yr Author According to News of the World and the Sunday Mirror tomorrow, Cheryl's got her job back! Or she was never axed in the first place! I'm never really going to believe anything until the 8th and 9th when the judges roll up for the next set of auditions though...
June 5, 201114 yr Yes Theo, this is good news(I hope). It could simply be a legal reason, like she would try to sue them for racism or so something like that?
June 5, 201114 yr Wonder if Nicole will say anything on Graham Norton? After all FOX never confirmed or denied a thing
June 5, 201114 yr According to News of the World and the Sunday Mirror tomorrow, Cheryl's got her job back! Or she was never axed in the first place! I'm never really going to believe anything until the 8th and 9th when the judges roll up for the next set of auditions though... Exactly. I think now we're just going to have to wait & see, so many things written and rumoured everywhere. Wednesday is gonna be stressing !
June 7, 201114 yr Simon Cowell has insisted that he agreed to Cheryl Cole's X Factor USA exit because he was trying to protect her. The music mogul broke his silence on the two-week drama just hours after it was officially confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger is to replace Cole on the judging panel for the Fox show. "The hardest thing to accept is that everyone has painted me as a monster because I embarrassed her, but the truth was I was protecting her," Cowell told The Mirror. "I just want people to be in the best place at the right time." Cowell admitted that Cole had appeared "uncomfortable" in her new role alongside himself, Paula Abdul and Antonio 'L.A.' Reid. "Knowing Cheryl like I know her, we noticed she was quieter than normal, looked a bit uncomfortable but I put some of this down to nerves. The overall feeling was that she was slightly out [of]her comfort zone in America, compared to what she was in the UK. "If she had accepted my original offer, she would have made a sensational return and would have understood she was more comfortable in the UK than the US." Cowell went on to confirm that a genuine last minute offer to return her to the US panel had been made to Cole over the weekend. "When she turned down the UK show, we got back in touch and said, well she is still under contract with the US show so we invited her back. Her position was still there," he explained. "We had some heated conversations with her US manager will.i.am and he inferred this wasn't a genuine offer. They thought that if she didn't turn up on Wednesday then we wouldn't pay her. "We made it clear that she was always going to be paid in full. We got to the point on Saturday when we genuinely thought she was going to accept the offer but again neither she nor they returned any calls. So we've announced Nicole." The 52-year-old continued: "The intention was to do it quietly and simply say to her that you have an option to rejoin the UK show. We were saying move to another show for even more money. There was an offer of around £2.3 million ($3.8 million) on the table including bonuses. "So how is that sacking someone? If that's being horrible to someone then I would be quite happy with someone doing that to me." He claimed that Cole had expressed interest in accepting the offer of returning to the ITV1 show. "She was certainly interested as we exchanged a few texts and she asked if she could have my dressing room at the studio and I said, 'Of course'," he revealed. "Her management even asked for a legal waiver to her contract with the US show allowing her to open discussions with ITV. "So we genuinely thought it was going to happen. But the big condition was that it was to be kept under wraps and she would make a big entrance last week at the Birmingham auditions and everyone would have loved it. "But when the story got out, it changed everything. There was no more communication and we had set a deadline of Sunday, giving her six days to make a decision. That passed and we still had not heard anything. So we announced our UK judges." Hoping to salvage their "close" friendship, Cowell apologised to the 27-year-old for the embarrassment the situation had caused her. "I apologise that all this has become public and I understand the stress she is under, and I hate that. But we have all been under a lot of stress," he said. "When things like this happen I look at the contestant, they must think this is crazy. All the attention is on us. I am sorry this has caused so much anguish and embarrassment, but I stand by what I believe was the right intention. And I would say that to her face right now." Confessing that she "felt let down" but "understood that it was a professional decision", Cowell insisted that he stood by what he had done. "We are close friends. I still hope we are but sometimes when you're that close, when you're making these decisions with someone's life you have to be certain. I stand by what I said to her," he concluded. "I hope we're still close friends. I'm sure if she was here now there would be a frank discussion, but will I work with her again? Definitely. She's a star." http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s141/the-...ecting-her.html
June 7, 201114 yr He meant to protect her? Haha, he's such a troll. She's better off. Now she's gonna focus on her pop career and she's going to dominate the world on her own :cheer:  ^_^ Edited June 7, 201114 yr by Hayzayy

Now she's gonna focus on her pop career and she's going to dominate the world on her own :cheer:  ^_^ But as someone said (maybe it was Jark), she clearly lacks no interest in her solo career and it's a side project she does.
June 10, 201114 yr But as someone said (maybe it was Jark), she clearly lacks no interest in her solo career and it's a side project she does. How can you say that! Of course she cares about her solo career when she is selling millions. Stupid comment I'm sorry to say.
June 10, 201114 yr How can you say that! Of course she cares about her solo career when she is selling millions. Stupid comment I'm sorry to say. Yes, she cares about making money, but no artistry or promotion. The odd performance now or then seems to suit her fine.
June 10, 201114 yr Yes, she cares about making money, but no artistry or promotion. The odd performance now or then seems to suit her fine. I don't want to start an argument, but she does promotion. She used the X Factor as the main promotion yes, but she was regularly on smaller shows in her 3 words era and is always doing magazine shoots etc. When your shifting 100,000+ first week sales, you hardly need masses of promotion when the sales and public already know what you are selling. To make a sweeping statement like that is rather bizarre. You are not Cheryl and therefore can't say that she doesn't care about the artistry and is only in it for the money which she already had plenty of.
June 11, 201114 yr The X Factor kind of got her in a vicious circle in which everything was revolving around that show. And she was kind of 'too big' to end up on Daybreak for example. Both parties have a point though. She did a lot of promotion during her '3 words' era, while the promotion for 'Messy little raindrops' was pretty poor and, from a fan point of view, quite inacceptable. Now she got away from the show, and she should be able to focus more on her music career and to give it her all. There is no denying that a music career has always been what she loved the most. I'm confident that with album 3 (if there is one), she will be the true popstar she needs to be.
June 11, 201114 yr I wanted a Cheryl tour but there's never been time really, and if it's GA 2012, then it looks like it won't happen :(
June 11, 201114 yr I wanted a Cheryl tour but there's never been time really, and if it's GA 2012, then it looks like it won't happen :( Hopefully they do a BEP with the show lasting over 2 hours and including solo sets :kink:
June 11, 201114 yr With The X Factor now out of the way, I can see her putting all her effort into her next album if there is one. She will have to do a lot of promotion to reach anywhere near her previous sales. She promoted "Fight For This Love" a lot around Europe, I hope she now puts all she can into her music, as she has the potential to be a massive European pop star. I'm simply suggesting a debatable subject. I feel that her promotional campaign was fixed around her X Factor position. Even in her "3 Words" era we weren't seeing A LOT of promotion. I mean, we got like two performance of "3 Words", didn't we? Why? Because she was too busy with X Factor roles.
November 29, 201311 yr "damages for wardrobe, housing and living expenses" OH WHAT A POOR FUCKING THING.
November 29, 201311 yr "damages for wardrobe, housing and living expenses" OH WHAT A POOR FUCKING THING. I don't feel bad for X Factor, do you? It's not like she's taking money from poor kids in Africa, she's taking money from a global enterainement firm which has been messing with her big time. She had every right to sue them, it was part of the contract both parties signed for, "pay or play", and the court agreed with that apparently so there's not much to debate. :)
