FAQs:

When is the album coming out?

The album now has an official release date of September 21, 2012 (Australia), September 24, 2012 (UK) and September 25, 2012 (USA)

Who is producing the album?

No Doubt has been working with past collaborator, Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Rock Steady), techno duo Major Lazer (Diplo and Switch) on a couple of songs (originally meant for Major Lazer’s album) and up and coming producer Anthony Gorry of the Brixton Angels. Rumoured producers included The.Dream, Detail (Tom confirmed the band had no plans to work with him at this time) and Ester Dean.

What will the new album sound like?

The band has been saying many things since the process started, but it’s pretty clear that there are going to be very strong ska and reggae influences heard. No Doubt has shared a lot with us during their recording time and we can expect ballads, ska, reggae, new wave and dancehall. Also mentions of a timpani and string ensemble are used. A few critics have described some of the tracks as having a ”neatly updated Rock Steady” sound.

Will there be any covers on the new album?

No. Tom has confirmed that there will be no covers on the album, all original new material.

Will there be any guest appearances on the new album?

Yes. It’s been confirmed that Jamaican artist Busy Signal appears on “Push and Shove”, produced by Major Lazer. The band also expressed interest in having singer/rapper Azealia Banks on a track but nothing has been confirmed.

Are No Doubt planning to tour with the new album?

Yes. Tony already confirmed that the band has plans for a world tour to support the album. There has been no announcement on when that may be however.

Snazzy little album guide on Beacon Street.

Ridiculously excited!

Loving that video.

I don't know about all "amazing" talks but at least for what we can gather, it's not disappointing for me. Roll on July etc.

That beat is INSANE. This is HAPPENING. Like actually in sight. Ohmydays.

I do love how majority of this thread is just me talking to myself. Anyway! New information! Press have been listening to the new music and seem to be loving it. I'd love to hear some pre-Tragic Kingdom ska influences on the record, although I doubt we'll be getting anything close to that.

- Push and Shove has eleven songs on the album.

- Tom calls 'Push and Shove' his favorite track.

- 'Push and Shove' is over five minutes long; so if it ever became a single (which it’s rumoured to be the second one), it would have to be cut down.

- The 'Settle Down' video will be out on July 16.

- The band will continue to focus on interviews and TV performances until the album is out.

- After the album is out, they will work on preparing for full concerts.

- No Doubt is planning to tour in most of 2013.

I'm not ENJOYING how One More Summer seems to have been sidelined (judging entirely on the description of it)
I want to give this a chance but I never really got into No Doubt, solo Gwen was so much better. She was quirky in a way that wasn't try hard and irritating like Lady Gaga.

Hideous. I'm really not expecting much from the video or the album artwork. But I'm happy for the music to do the talking.

Do you not even like the Rock Steady album? It's hands down one of the best pop albums of this century. Unbelievable to think it's 11 years old. It's so damn fresh.
