Oh MOOPYGRIN! It was a complete shambles in that the stall at the Freshers' Fair very nearly didn't even happen, as the previous President resigned over a power struggle between him and the local CLP over who would take responsibility for the promotion and doing the stall (the local CLP have been pissed at him ever since the election when he decided to use Essex Labour Students time to campaign in marginals in Ipswich rather than Colchester, which is pretty safe Lib Dem territory - at least safe against Labour). The head of East England Labour Students had to come down and set up the stall after both the President and the CLP pulled out of doing the stall, and he was on the verge of being shut down (as stalls have to be run by students to stop outside interests manipulating etc.) until I turned up and was thrust into it as the only possible person there!

So yes, I'm currently the only candidate, so far as I know (at least nobody else who was at the stall has said they want to run), so LET'S RELIVE

So basically you're now in charge of a corrupt organisation that nobody else wants to lead anymore! BIG Moopygrin!

Corrupt? :o How so?

One that nobody wants to lead anymore, correct (at least seemingly so far) but mainly because nobody else wants to go to the effort of trying to take on what seems like such a futile task.

Tirrun clearly isn't experienced in these matters. If he were, he'd know:

A) Less than 25% of the people who sign up on the day actually partake. By the end of the year, this figure is more like 5-10%.

B] The "competition" for the roles of responsibility are almost never contested because no one wants that responsibility.

Get over yo'self mo fo!

on a on topic note, looks like people think i should continue, hopwfully this will be proved by not being as much of a struggle this week with getting the small amount of 3 people per team to participate. i just felt that people generally werent giving a $h!t before it happened.

cheers for the no whoever that was <3

A) I KNOW that you fool! -_- I was saying that membership had doubled based on sign-up - last year we had 50 sign up, this year we had 90. We're aiming for a conversion rate which gets at least 15-20 active members at first.

B] I've literally just found out that I'm no longer running unopposed, and I'm being challenged by a friend of mine in the Labour Party! BIG MOOPY GRINS and NU MILIBAND psychodramas all around!

Tyron would be the most Tory Labour leader ever.
