The promotion has been fine, it's just had a lack of backing and support behind it.

I agree the promotion has been poor. Yes, she's been on programmes to promote the song but coming on the x factor 4 weeks early was a mistake and way too early, also why didnt they play the full song on the one show instead of a clip?

It was probably the only slot she could get, and the CIN performance did good for it.

I actually think she has had great promotion for this project. She has been on all the big shows. The last 2 songs just havent connected with people. Simple as that. Maybe she will just be one of these acts that have 1 major hit and thats it just like Madonna will be when she gets back

Ya the recent 2 singles dont seem to be connecting with people which is a shame after the huge success of the fantastic all the lovers. Get outta my way was ahuge mistake as 2nd single but its done now, i just hope better than today can overall sell reasonably well even if it ends up getting a low peak.

I agree. I think its gonna end up being about 25

Its higher than i expected in the first update and its likely she will slip,i hope she can hold top 20, tomorrow and thursday will give a good indication of how it will go though.

she is performing at royal variety.tat will give a boost to sales?

I hardly think the x-factor revolves its show around artists releases dates. If other acts are on that week they are hardly gonna move them just for Kylie and her release date.

She has been on 2 massive shows. No excuse. And it got to number 12 on airplay so no excuse there either. The public just didnt like it.

Its not the publics favourite Kylie song but there is still love for it at the same time, sales wise its not gonna be her worst selling single so thats something in itself and it could completly surprise us yet and stay top 20, sales this week could potentially be 20,000+ bringing its sales very near to 40,000 if it happens. In my arms went top 10 but didnt sell a huge lot more and better than today has quite a few sales left in yet.

I think the public are getting a bit bored of this Kylie that emerged 10 years ago with Spinning Around.

She should come back next album with a new sound. Something unexpected, just like Confide In Me was totally different from the likes of Devil and Lucky.

I do agree, I do get a sense that the public is getting a bit sick of all the dance music from Kylie.

 

She should do a Flowers-Hurt-inspired album next year. :naughty:

Oh, hopefully that would lead a way to a jazz-style album as well. Not sure if she still wants to do one though. :P

#22 in todays midweeks update, im disapointed but not surprised. Hopefully it will stay top 25.
