October 19, 201015 yr Both Pixie and Joe have dropped quick. But huge sales for Bruno although the song is a bit bland.Preeya Kalidas finally having a hit on the mainstream chart, she got dropped too soon.
October 19, 201015 yr Robbie Williams & Gary Barlow 8+8 OUCH Joe McElderry 8+9 DOUBLE OUCH The physical sales for both these must still be really good to hang on to even these (lowly) positions ... I don't think either are doing anything much on downloads. They should both be out of the top 20 come Sunday though. Kath Edited October 19, 201015 yr by Kathyp
October 19, 201015 yr Both Pixie and Joe have dropped quick. But huge sales for Bruno although the song is a bit bland.Preeya Kalidas finally having a hit on the mainstream chart, she got dropped too soon. Is that the girl that played Amira in Eastenders? If so, she has a great voice, dunno what went wrong with her.
October 19, 201015 yr Great first day sales for KOL and Bruno. I think Bruno will sell about 110K and KOL about 190K
October 19, 201015 yr Is that the girl that played Amira in Eastenders? If so, she has a great voice, dunno what went wrong with her. Yep it is her. Lack of promotion really Don't think I ever heard Shimmy on the radio and hardly ever saw her on music channels
October 19, 201015 yr Yep it is her. Lack of promotion really Don't think I ever heard Shimmy on the radio and hardly ever saw her on music channels Shame, as I said great voice. Real let down. Wonder if she's regretting her decision to leave EE?
October 19, 201015 yr Massive sales for KOL! I was expecting them to do well, but not this well. Great climb for Katy in the album chart aswell and woo for Firework being top 10! Nice for Diana aswell, if she had released her physical single aswell she would have been 1 or 2 places higher I think. And Pixie top 10 aswell! Happy with that.
October 19, 201015 yr Author Michael Andrews/Gary Jules, Ting Tings, Ke$ha, Usher/Will.I.Am, Prof. Green, Alex Guardino, DJ Fresh, Swedish House Mafia/Pharrell have left the top 40 singles chart from last week.
October 19, 201015 yr Author The Wanted could drop to #4, they seem to be frontloaded, Diana Vickers at a push she might just make the top 10, but seeing Jay Sean and Katy Perry with "Firework" inside the top 10, Diana might just lose out on a top 10 hit on Sunday, unless Tinie Tempah drops out. And LMFAO for Joe at #17  top 25 beckons, his album is going to miss the top 10, and with KoL with 75k start, its looking most likely KoL will stick around at #1 for a while yet until Duffy releases her album. I reckon KoL's album is looking at 220k plus, Lady GaGa look out your crown at the top of the YTD album chart looks very shaky now :heehee: :D
October 19, 201015 yr Great sales for Bruno and Kings of Leon. 30k for The Wanted ain't bad either...they should end with about 60/70k.
October 19, 201015 yr Nicki Minaj heading for top 20? Is this a typo, I didn't know she had anything out this week. Would love it if its true though :D
October 19, 201015 yr Author And what are the odds Cher Lloyd singing Cooler Than Me on Saturday, perfect boost for Mike Posner to earn a #1 the following week :D
October 19, 201015 yr And what are the odds Cher singing Cooler Than Me on Saturday, perfect boost for Mike Posner to earn a #1 the following week :D I heard it is "Guilty Pleasures" week - so expect "Saturday Night" or "Shaddup Your Face" from Cher. Or maybe something by the original Cher? :D its looking most likely KoL will stick around at #1 for a while yet until Duffy releases her album Take That will have them off the top on Sunday 28th November, before Duffy arrives the following week EDIT: - actually Susan Boyle is two weeks before TT so I expect she will get there too Edited October 19, 201015 yr by eightiespopkid
October 19, 201015 yr And what are the odds Cher singing Cooler Than Me on Saturday, perfect boost for Mike Posner to earn a #1 the following week :D I predict that in the coming weeks, Cher will be singing: - N-Dubz - Tine Tempah - Chipmunk - Dizzee Rascal - Roll Deep - Tinchy Stryder
October 19, 201015 yr its looking most likely KoL will stick around at #1 for a while yet until Duffy releases her album. Take That will have them off the top on Sunday 28th November, before Duffy arrives the following week EDIT: - actually Susan Boyle is two weeks before TT so I expect she will get there too I think KoL will be #1 this week and next week. Then #1's will be Cheryl, SuBo, SuBo again, JLS/Take That, JLS/Take That again, leaving Duffy without the number one album.
October 19, 201015 yr Author I heard it is "Guilty Pleasures" week - so expect "Saturday Night" or "Shaddup Your Face" from Cher. Or maybe something by the original Cher? :D Take That will have them off the top on Sunday 28th November, before Duffy arrives the following week EDIT: - actually Susan Boyle is two weeks before TT so I expect she will get there too I forgot about TT, obviously they will get a #1 album out of it. I didn't know SuBo had a new album, that could go either way.
October 19, 201015 yr I think KoL will be #1 this week and next week. Then #1's will be Cheryl, SuBo, SuBo again, JLS/Take That, JLS/Take That again, leaving Duffy without the number one album. I agree with that, but Take That will almost certainly beat JLS both weeks.
October 19, 201015 yr I agree with that, but Take That will almost certainly beat JLS both weeks. I reckon TT will win the album battle, JLS the single battle of the two - if marketed right as a big battle both could well end up selling huge though.
