October 31, 201014 yr Yeah, exactly :) My point is the battle is irrelevant, both are winners. ;) Sounds so cheesy
October 31, 201014 yr I'm sure it was all calculated to the nth degree anyway, with Simon Cowell's tinkering.
October 31, 201014 yr There have been two battles. Cheryl won the number one debut battle Ri-Ri won (is winning) the battle for better sales and better chart run They are both winners but not of the same battle. Edited October 31, 201014 yr by danielG
October 31, 201014 yr There have been two battles. Cheryl won the number one debut battle Ri-Ri won (is winning) the battle for better sales and better chart run And rihanna also will get #1...
October 31, 201014 yr Ri-Ri won (is winning) the battle for better sales and better chart run How do you work that out? Cheryl's beating her sales wise, and is charting at #1, with Rihanna at #2. Rihanna's not winning anything yet. -_-
October 31, 201014 yr Rihanna will get over 100K this week at #1 i predict, cheryl wont, rihanna will without a doubt have more longevity. ;) (my inclination ) Edited October 31, 201014 yr by Breakeven
October 31, 201014 yr How do you work that out? Cheryl's beating her sales wise, and is charting at #1, with Rihanna at #2. Rihanna's not winning anything yet. -_- No Ri-Ri isn't yet, but she hasn't performed on TXF and she's number one. This time next week it'll be obvious who's going to sell more
October 31, 201014 yr No Ri-Ri isn't yet, but she hasn't performed on TXF and she's number one. This time next week it'll be obvious who's going to sell more Yes, this time next week it will be. But what I'm saying is that what you said was wrong, Rihanna isn't currently winning, sales and chart run wise, as Cheryl is technically doing better in both. That is all. ^_^
October 31, 201014 yr How do you work that out? Cheryl's beating her sales wise, and is charting at #1, with Rihanna at #2. Rihanna's not winning anything yet. -_- Really? Give it 4 weeks and im sure Rihanna will have sold more. B)
October 31, 201014 yr Really? Give it 4 weeks and im sure Rihanna will have sold more. B) We're not talking about in 4 weeks time, we're talking about this precise moment. -_-
October 31, 201014 yr The bolded part makes me think we're discussing the future...rihanna will be the 'winner'. Why? It says "won" = past and "winning" = present. If it said "will win" then it's talking about the future.
October 31, 201014 yr Guys, Rihanna's blatantly only #1 because people have finally started downloading their Hallowe'en music! :D
October 31, 201014 yr However, talking about a 'chart run' is looking in to the future.. Also better sales, surely means sales will be better, as in overall sales.. Its really not important, both are winners at the present AND in the future. :) What on Earth are you talking about? The post is talking about the present, you can see by the tenses used. -_- Anyway. I'm going to go back to topic before being yelled at. :cheer: for Rihanna!
October 31, 201014 yr Ah you're so defensive :???:, 'chart run' is obviously looking in to the future its not a present factor its a long-term point. As is sales. You can really create an argument out of ANYTHING  Anyway for like the third time back on topic.. Anyone know where bleeding love is at the minute? :) Edited October 31, 201014 yr by Breakeven

Anyway for like the third time back on topic.. Anyone know where bleeding love is at the minute? :) learn some English, lol. Chart run is looking into the future, have you ever seen a song have a chart run like this? NE-1. Overall sales and 1st week sales are different too. Eminem didn't debut at one and he's the biggest selling song of the year. Back on topic, Cole's had her time and Rihanna needs a number one after loads of number twos this year

Maybe you should learn some english... Also you say back on topic but we've already moved on? Cool. <_< Anyway on topic, i'm so surprised at how take control is failing to even get in top 40 :o Edited October 31, 201014 yr by Breakeven

You can really create an argument out of ANYTHING  Anyway for like the third time back on topic.. Anyone know where bleeding love is at the minute? :) Chart run starts in the past, runs through the present and into the future. It's not just based solely on the future. And the comment is talking about the present. And I don't know why you need to say that, considering I was having a discussion with another poster, and you butted it and started commenting on it. Ever considered that you're the one that creates the arguments? No, of course you didn't. When some says "is winning" that means that they are talking about the present, not the future or the past. Look at the tense of the sentence. Sales and chart runs aren't future factors, they're to do with the past, present and future.
October 31, 201014 yr We're not talking about in 4 weeks time, we're talking about this precise moment. -_- Thats a pretty silly statement. Are artists only judged one week of sales now?
October 31, 201014 yr Thats a pretty silly statement. Are artists only judged one week of sales now? -_- The comment made was: "Ri-Ri won (is winning) the battle for better sales and better chart run" Therefore, we are talking about the time being. I said she's not currently winning, as Cheryl is doing better in both areas. We were talking about the time being, not what's going to happen in 4 weeks time.

I said she is winning because the battle hadn't ended yet. Cheryl has done better this week, Ri-Ri will do better overall.
