Game over then in both charts. Not surpised LadBaby is that far ahead but surprised Rod has pushed ahead on albums, I thought Stormzy would take at least one of the crowns.

LadBaby will continue the momentum now as it will get more radio plays and more people plugging his track on TV/Radio. Really good battles in both singles and albums charts.

Good numbers for Coldplay and Robbie. I expect Coldplay to drop a few spots next though, where as Robbie should stay there or there abouts as he's got good promo and his own ITV show in a couple of weeks.
  4. Anyone know why Ursine Vulpine - Wicked Game is in the top 30?
  5. I think a small number of big stores in good locations will work. The issue with HMV was they had too many stores in too many high streets that catered to a market that had disappeared. A handful of these, big entertainment stores with live music, signing events and specialist sections can still be a success.

I'm surprised at how well Westlife are streaming relative to other acts that have have been around that long in that genre. Admittidley they are only #100 but no other pop act from the early 2000s seem to even break the top 200 on Spotify.
  7. Its just the power of Spotify playlists, Slade especially is not featured in any big ones apart from 1 well down the list.
  8. Post Malone debuting at over 400,000 streams and only getting to number 24 is quite something.
  9. Very disappointing for Little Mix, nowhere near even the top 10 on albums.
  10. Amazing for LadBaby, the Christmas number one is still alive. Amused and bemused at the stan fans for Ava and Ariana that cant cope with a fun little, charity song being number one.

Just shows you still need promo. Ava just needed one biggish TV performance in the last couple of weeks and she would have guaranteed #1. If Ariana had released the video for Thank You, Next a week later, she would still be #1.

How come Ladbaby has grown its lead on iTunes? Do we think he has a chance now?

This is why there should be a sales chart and a streaming chart run separately. People can then decided between themselves which has more status.

Yeh, the "official" chart is going to slip further and further down in people's thoughts due to the way it's run and rules are decided. Adding streaming with sales was always going to be tricky, they should have just done two official charts. Then you have stupid rules that a song could be number one but because its more than 3 years old it doesn't count the majority of it's streams or something. Its too complicated to the average person and Its not a true reflection of what is popular and more a chart to suit a few execs who have a biased viewpoint.

Has Rita Ora got that top 5 album yet?
