September 20, 201014 yr When I saw the title of the single as Safe, I thought it was an advert for Safe Sex.
September 20, 201014 yr Author I have learned the hard way that it is NOT wise to get on the defensive when it comes to others critisizing your favourite act. Anyway, Westlife are kinda crap but their last song was okay. I imagine I'll heaer this new one alot on radio 2. for which song are u talking about?
September 20, 201014 yr Author it was a cover though. . now we may see something really original. . .
September 21, 201014 yr 'World Of Our Own' was their solitary good song, ever. It was a very good song though.
September 21, 201014 yr 'World Of Our Own' was their solitary good song, ever. It was a very good song though. YES, easily the best thing they've done in their career.
September 22, 201014 yr YES, easily the best thing they've done in their career. Definitely agree there, most of their 'original' songs are VILE: I'm looking at you Bop Bop Baby and Hey Whatever  Ah so this thread confirms my question of "was that song played over the end of Marlon's audition on X factor on Sunday, the new westlife single per chance?" And what do you know, it is, I thought it sounded suspiciously like Westlife but it sounded pretty good in all fairness, I think I may like it. It may become the second only Westlife song on my ipod after World of Our Own of course.
September 23, 201014 yr Charis you are not alone, I adore Westlife too. Without a doubt the best group we have vocally in the UK/IRE. Loving the sound of this so far, seems to channel a lot of 'What About Now' but as you said it's original which makes it a billion times better. The new album is all original too which is great. Mark said on twitter that we will hear the full song in 10-12 days, they also had a meeting about the video yesterday so shouldn't be too long until they film it. :)
September 25, 201014 yr Author sry but westlife can sing better than robbie williams, blue, take that, shayne ward, 5ive. . . and many more lost artist. . . =)))))))))
September 25, 201014 yr sry but westlife can sing better than robbie williams, blue, take that, shayne ward, 5ive. . . and many more lost artist. . . =))))))))) Well Shane maybe sing better than those people, Mark only sings better when he's having a good day. And the other 2, well the barely even sing. so that says enough :P And this is coming from a Westlife fan :P Well once, before they chose to abandon Europe and only started singing covers
September 25, 201014 yr Britain's best vocal group? For the clinically deaf, maybe. Take That - Well Shane and Mark are stronger than all. Boyzone - Since Stephen passed they now only have Ronan who doesn't have the vocal range of Mark. JLS - Can we really tell through the auto-tune, however Aston is their strongest and although a good singer he isn't on par with either Shane nor Mark. The Wanted - Hard to tell, they can all sing but I'll like to see them belt out 22 'ee-yeahs' the way Mark did on tour. Now for girlgroups... Girls Aloud - Nadine being their best and she is brilliant but I'll but Mark higher. The Saturdays - Oh you do make me laugh. Sugababes - Yep good singers Jade may have a good range I haven't really heard her properly. So yes Westlife are the best vocal group we have, I am massive fans of many of the groups I have posted there but I can say from seeing these lads live all four of them can sing, suprisingly Kian and Nicky have decent voices although Shane is far better and Mark truely breath-taking. Mark used to be very hit and miss but he seems to have gained a lot more control of his voice. I'll even go out and say Mark has one of the best male voices in pop right now, although his tone may not be to everyones style, he has an incredible range. If you disagree please show some evidence of your chosen group being vocally better, I'm open to be proven wrong.

September 25, 201014 yr Author gary is a fantastic song writer. . . But vocally shane rules him easily. . . Gary is poor in front of shane and mark. . And btw when we are talking about westlife and u tell me that it's only shane and mark. . . I support westlife meanes support them as single singer, we are not talking about the average of the 4 of them can sing. . .
September 25, 201014 yr Wow... Westlife fans are so delusional, it's ridiculous. Gary's an amazing vocalist as well as Robbie and the other 3(Jay, Howard and Mark) are not bad either. At least, they are definitely way better than those blond guys from Westlife. Nicky and Kein? Sorry, i don't know their names. I actually don't understand why they were chosen to be in a music band in the first place? They have no talent whatsoever. Gary's voice is so flexibile and smooth.. and it's CLASSY. He has such a wide vocal range he could sing EVERYTHING.Those 2 pathetic Wl fans obviously have never heard TT live.As for Westlife. Well, I for one, can't stand WL's gay one( Mark?) singing. He ALWAYS sounds like he's singing through his nose as if he has cold or someting. This ''stuffy nose'' way of singing annoys me so much. As for Shane, he always sounds the same. There's no passion, no emotions in his voice. It's flat, it's dire, it's forgettable. At least, you can always define Robbie by his UNIQUE vocals. Westlife? Blunt, dull, boring, talentless... Edited September 25, 201014 yr by locott
September 25, 201014 yr I don't appreciate personal attacks! If you don't like this group that is perfectly fine but don't ever call me pathetic again! It's a forum about music you have absolutly no right to personally attack me or Charis! Seriously, is this what this forum is about it's horrible. I enjoy discussing music, singers and songs, I am very happy to have a debate about Westlife Vs Take That if it is infact a debate where everyone involved respects eachothers opinions, but you are calling me pathetic for a group I like? No, seriosuly? And you think it's ok to do that. I like their voices and their songs there is nothing pathetic in that, the only pathetic thing would to be to come into a Westlife thread and to say the people talking about westlife are pathetic. Please, please tell me not all the members on this forum are so intorrelent. And I would just like to clear something up, I am a huge Take That fan really enjoy their last two albums, Gary Barlow is by miles a better songwriter than Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian (not Kein). But I believe Mark Feehily has a much bigger vocal range. You may know of an occasion where Gary shows off his more and if you do so and be delighted for you to show me, I'm not defending Westlife because 'OMGZZ ther lyk AmAzinnnnn!' I'm only saying that in my knowledge they are the strongest group we have vocally. Also for a group you don't like I'm quite suprised that you know Mark is always singing through his nose, thats impressive that is. He doesn't by the way, I didn't used to like Marks singing, he used to be hit and miss, Shane is by far more consistent throughout their careers, but Mark has hit their songs to almost vocal perfection these past two years, specifically 'Flying Without Wings' on the Where We Are Tour three weeks back. But hey you continue with your attacking of 'pathetic westlife fans' if it makes you feel better, I'm only here to discuss the music I enjoy, maybe you should do that and stay out of artists you can't stand.
