For curiosity's sake. If you took touts out of the equation (and lets face it ... it is the Touts who TT have to thank for getting into the record books once again) how long do you reckon it would have taken TT to sell the concert tickets?

About the same length of time, considering the number of genuine people who couldn't get a sniff on the website due to meltdown. Remove the touts add us lot in, then it would have still been chaos!

I'm not so sure. I've heard of people (on the inside) who've been able ... legitimately ... to buy up 1,000 tickets at a shot. Sure ... they may have been for corporate events ... but I bet a load of them have ended up on eBay.

I remember in the late 70's the hottest concert to get your hand on a ticket for was ELO's Out of The Blue tour ... and it was all postal! The touts had a hard time of it in them days.

I have to add ... I know that I'm behind the times ... but I find it laughable that now that I see Take That for the boring 'phenomenon' that they are ... a large chunk of posters on BJ seem to think they're the best thing since sliced bread! Funny really. I should add that I am a 'fickle' creature and I usually only get into an act for three years max! The only acts that have gone beyond that are ELO and Level 42! It was odd that a band like Take That (who can't play instruments) lasted (in my affections) as long as they did!)

Surely the people who buy from the touts would have bought them legitimatly and more cheaply if they could. It might have taken slightly longer but I think that they would have sold anyway.

True ... but the tour wouldn't have the 'sold out' in 'less than five minutes' tag ... which is how it will be rememberd in time. Take That don't care about tickets sold ... you're right ... they would have sold them anyway. But it is the touts that they have to thank for the 'time' element that has got them into the record books. Simples!

I'll try to get the tickets for Munich tonight :cheer:

Apparently they will include the name of the lucky owner in order to stop the resale of tickets. They've had enough negative feedback as it is lol

Good luck Robbieca ... you'll have a great time.

How come other countries can get it right for the right people to get the tickets and the UK can't?

Tickets for the german concerts will be sold out soon. I'm really amazed because there hasn't been much promotion......it's going really well for Take That.

Compliments to Gary and the rest. Brilliant idea and marketing so far.

I got tickets for Hamburg, it was not easy at 12 as the server was overloaded , so i went at 5 am and got good one. My poor hubby has to come with me, and he dreads Robbie Williams and don't mind TT, because you have to put your name on the tickets

Wir sehen uns in Müncheeeeeeeeeeeeen :yahoo: I'm so happy... the happiest I've been in a long time

I was online at midnight but yeah, great demand and all that jazz... but after an hour and 28 minutes my sister was finally able to get through :yahoo:

If Cheryl is confirmed as a support act as she is rumoured to be, I'll definitely get tickets for the show if they tour in Paris.

It would be approx about one year after I saw her on the Black Eyed Peas tour :kink:

Do you know who's the support act in Germany?

Cheryl?

I'm sure when they did the BW tour ... the European Support act was different to the UK Support act. So even if Cheryl is doing the UK bit (and it is only rumour from some twitter that someone posted on the official site) she may not necessarily. Then again she may as this tour is much smaller (I mean by number of dates) than the BW tour.
