Hello all,

It's now time for the third BuzzJack Unknown Pleasures.

After the last contest, there will once again be a limit of 30 entries. The people who participated in the last contest are guarenteed a place in this contest, providing you send me your song by 22:00 GMT tomorrow, Thursday 4th November. After that it is first come, first served. You can send a song at any time. The songs will be posted on the evening of Sunday 7th November or when I have 30 entries, whichever happens first. Voting will then begin until Wednesday 17th. If there is significant demand for more than 30 participants, then this can be discussed for the next contest.

RULES

You must choose a song to send which meet the following criteria. It does not matter what type of song it is with regards to genre or length.

  • The song must NOT have reached the UK Top 75
  • The artist(s) in question must never have had a UK top 20 hit
  • The song must NOT be on the current UK release schedule
You must PM me with a Youtube link to the song as well as an uploaded mp3 (or at least a place where I can download it from*). I will then collate them all and post the Youtube links in the voting thread

(mp3s will be PM'd)

.

You must not, at any point, reveal your own song, reveal anything about it or publicly attempt to guess what other people have sent.

Any questions, please ask.

Please use the following links to check if the song is eligible.

*You do not have to do this, but if I cannot easily find a place to download the song there will not be an mp3 which I imagine will put the song at a disadvantage to the others.

The only change to this contest is that the results will be posted in voting order, as due to time constraints it will make it much easier for me.

WOO!!!

Sending right now.

Uploading a song to send now ^_^

This seems like it'll be a lot of fun

I have to follow-up on Stars, so my song choice has been sent :D which was meant for UP II, Stars was a last minute replacement.
Hmmm, should I try to win it which is unluckly with BJ's taste or just send some random chaos??
Are new participants allowed? I've had a great song for this for ages, but not got around to entering it.

New participants are allowed as far as I know, unless the rules have been changed. I guess the first 30 applications are a dead cert.

Tom is in. :w00t: This is officially called 'BJUSC spin-off' then :kink:

how the f*** is this a spin off? if anything BJUSC stole the unknown idea, this is a whole different competition, infact if this was just BJUSC mkII i'd have no point in enterting as i'd just be discovering music i will dislike, if it's turned into that please inform me so i'm not wasting my time.

Anyone can enter but no one is guarenteed a place. I'm limiting this one to 30 (and the 29 that entered UPII) are all guarenteed a place if they send me their song by tomorrow evening. If people miss out this time, then sorry, but I don't think contests like this work as well when there are too many songs.

I guess that makes the chances of participating very small.

Can we still vote if we don't get in?

Ah okay, need to find a song. So glad I did better last time round however.
