July 21, 200618 yr Brian Wilson is washed up, is even suffering the effects of Alzheimers through too much drug taking in the 60's and 70's, has problems remembering his lines and he has really slowed down too, they showed him in concert a year ago on BBC (Live8 I think it was) and it was sad to see him
July 21, 200618 yr i was gonna go to glastonbury next year. now. maybe not  and not played profesinally together for 25 years? it can't be Pink Floyd (hopefully) as they did live 8
July 21, 200618 yr Author i was gonna go to glastonbury next year. now. maybe not  and not played profesinally together for 25 years? it can't be Pink Floyd (hopefully) as they did live 8 xMattx - It could be Pink Floyd because at Live8 they were not payed money - therefore it would not count as a professional gig. In the same sense - Led Zeppelin split up in 1980 after their Drummer John Bonham died, but they have since played charity gigs together at Live Aid 1985, Atlantic 40th Anniversary 1988 & the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame induction 1995 & at a couple of family weddings.
July 21, 200618 yr There is more chance of Osama Bin Laden being presented with the Nobel peace prize on the front lawn of the White House by George W Bush than there is Gilmour and Waters burying the hatchet for Glastonbury, anyone who seriously thinks those 2 will play together again don't understand the depth of hatred between the 2 guys, the only hatchet that would be buried would be in one of their skulls, forget Floyd it won't be happening

He pointed out that Led Zeppelin played an unannounced acoustic set in one of the tents in 1971. So from the two clues that Michael Eavis has provided, Mark Ratcliffe & the listeners have concluded that it is one of three contenders - Genesis, Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd.
July 21, 200618 yr That was a one off for Charity ;) by all accounts they had different dressing rooms and did not go near each other backstage, they just gritted their teeth for 15 mins, a 2hr set would be totally different and it would be a commercial venture too so I don't see it ever happening Genesis is a possibility I guess, they are all working solo still etc
