So true. There's a couple of posts with a lot of interaction on Twitter at the minute doing the same for Choosin' Texas because she just broke records set by Mariah and Whitney so fans of those artists are giving the "like if you've never heard this song" posts. Music isn't consumed in the same way, if you aren't listening to radio, you have to go out of your way to select songs to listen to, so of COURSE you haven't heard a song if you've chosen not to broaden your tastes, listen to new music releases or work your way through the charts available on different platforms.

Would need to put thought into this but instant stand out for me is Stereophonics - Handbags and Gladrags, just kind of "feel" more from it. The story feels more understandable some how. The original is great, but Disturbed's version of Sound of Silence is absolutely superb. An entirely different presentation of the song, the drama, the build, all just brilliant.

Sorry, are you suggesting that now records have been set they should never be broken? Well what would be the point of keeping any track of anything then? Just do away with the charts, Spotify charts/amazon/apple etc because Hadji doesn’t care for old records being broken.
