March 28, 200619 yr The use of 80s music is superb... I doubt I've ever seen a film that uses music better than this film does.... Which version have you seen though - the Director's cut or the shorter version.... For me, the shorter version is better because it leaves things a bit ambiguous, I feel that the longer edit explains things far too much and sacrifices the mystery that is the films selling point.... Ive seen both, but i cant remember the orginal as i first saw it about 18 months ago, so im not sure what difference between the directors cut & the original version Edited March 28, 200619 yr by Joey Deacon
March 28, 200619 yr It is absolutely the most confusing film I've ever seen. I've seen it twice and it made no more sense the second time... and reading that explanation hasn't really cleared it up much either. That said, I'm really tired (running on about 3 hours sleep) and my brain isn't working properly. So... ya.
April 3, 200619 yr I ADORE this film, it raises so many interesting questions and then leaves you to think about them alone, or talk about it with your friends. No film has gotten my friends talking so much as Donnie Darko. Oh and Jake Gyllenhall
