Not really got time to listen, but I've heard SOS (which is amazing). The Flood is better tho. This is also the first TT album I've listened to, as I love The Flood so much!

This album is soooo different to the first two but so far I really really like it. SOS, The Flood, Wait, Kidz, Happy Now and Flower bed are great songs. Just listened to Underground machine now and I like that aswell. Wonder what these songs will sound like live though??
Just had to come back and say that I've actually listened to the album a few times now and IMO it deserves to be massive. I absolutely LOVE it    . It takes a few listens to really apprecate it but there are some great songs on there and about five that I think are potential singles. There's only two that I'm not that keen on - Affirmation and Pretty Things. It won't be to everyones taste but I think that it's brilliant!
The album is definitly full of potential singles well 5 at least i just hope the right ones are chosne.

From what I've heard Pete ... the album is 100% better than The Circus. I think its the album that The Circus wanted to be. I'm just a bit sad for Jason that his song is a hidden track ... when history, in hindsight, has shown us that he actually has a better voice than either Gary or Robbie.

Jason's track is really really good. They should definately have put either Affirmation or Pretty Things as hidden track instead. Jason was short changed there.

It really is sad that Jason seems to be sidelined. Even in the documentary tonight (it wasn't a documentary actually ... it was a bit of a soap opera ... and a tad boring!) his views seemed to be swept aside by Gary, Mark and Robbie. Howard, sensibly .... went home to Germany for a while.

This WILL all end in tears!

PS - was anyone else annoyed at the way Gary Barlow ALWAYS was seen rubbing his hands together with glee! Like a latter-day Shylock ... envisaging the royalties!

Doesnt rubbing hands together usually indicate a sign of nerves?? Maybe it will all end in tears but im gonna remain positive and hope that it doesnt and that all the doubters get the chance to eat a big fat slice of humble pie when they pull the whole thing off. If im proved wrong i will just eat the humble pie myself but until that happens i will remain confident in that they will fulfill this commitment to themselves and more importantly to the fans.

I like the voice of Jason and a part of his songs, but everytime he opens his mouth and begin with his faux philosophie i want to shout "keep your mouth closed Jason!". He is boring, every time says the same things: how he as a dancer can still make music without being ridiculous, that he feels old, about Rob, about his place in the band. From the documentary after BW tour till now, the same same same things! Sorry, rant over!

I found the documentary hard to follow, no red-line, a minute snipet, another minute snipet, without connection, without history. Just put it one after another. It didn't make me feel how they made the album, how the creativity flows. It shoed only five people in a room who have a laugh and feel comfortable or not with each other  . ok, i didn't see all of it but I much more liked the BW tour comentary, as it gave me more information why they did that song or they had that coreographie!

Gary Barlow nervous? I am being a little harsh though ... perhaps it was cold in the studio and that's why he was rubbing his hands together to keep them warm.

My husband can't stand watching anything to do with Take That. He was looking on t'internet last night for golfing holidays next year.

I agree with you about Jason. This was an edited version of the whole film for TV so maybe that's why you found hard to follow. I would like to see the whole thing.

I know what you mean about the hand thing Kath but I think that it's just a habit that he has like the hand movement that he does when he sings! That drives me mad.

Me & my sister were laughing hysterically at the footage of him in the recording booth in last night's documentary, you'd think he was auditioning for a broadway show or something the way his hands were flapping about

I agree about Jason and i too find him boring, for me jason was never really needed or did much in the band and i think from all of them he is the least comfortable with the return of robbie.

Online surge for Take That album

Take That's new album has become the biggest pre-order release of the year, Amazon.co.uk said.

Progress, the band's first album since reuniting with Robbie Williams, has received twice as many online orders as any other album released this year.

It has also been pre-ordered more times than any other Take That album, including the 2008 release The Circus, which is Amazon.co.uk's seventh biggest-selling album of all time.

The band's latest release, officially in the shops from Monday, has been tipped to be Christmas Number One.

But online sales so far have surpassed expectations.

Julian Monaghan, head of music buying at Amazon.co.uk, said: "Take That and Robbie Williams have enjoyed significant chart success over recent years but the demand for this first album with Robbie back in the fold is higher than anything that either of them have achieved before.

"It is going to be a massive seller throughout the Christmas period and with the sell-out tour still to follow, it could be at the top end of the music charts for a long time to come."

Take That are due to perform on tonight's X Factor results show on ITV1, with an exclusive rendition of their latest single, The Flood.

Progress is currently available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk, priced at £8.93.

Fans can also download the album for £3.99 at the Amazon MP3 store

I know  . I find it a bit cringey!

Does anyone know/think Sainsbury's will stock the Deluxe edition of the album? I pre-ordered the standard edition but it hasn't been dispatched yet so I won't get it until tuesday so I figured I'd pop into Sainsbury's before college and get the deluxe version (originally I was going to wait & get it in a few weeks), but it's a lot of bother if they won't be selling it.
Am dying to hear what everyone thinks of the album. Has anyone else heard it yet? Am so excited about it. Apart from 2 tracks that I think are poor it's one of my favourite albums ever. I have actually forgiven them for taking Robbie back - I like it that much  ! The first time that I heard it I thought it was quite dark but it's actually not. It just makes you want to get up and dance and the songs are so catchy.

I bought my copy on friday and have gave it a few listens and am very pleased with the results, its not as good as the circus but i adore that album so i knew progress wouldnt top that, but for me i couldnt really ask for a much better follow up, although i still hate the cover!!!

sos i liked since first listen but im getting more and more fond of it and i think it could make a great 2nd single and underground machine is very addictive.

Didn't like Underground Machine the first time that I heard it but it has grown on me. It is addictive. My favourites are Wait and Happy now but I like them all apart from Pretty things and Affirmation - which is a shame as I love Howards voice normally. His vocals are very prominent on a lot of the other songs though. I love Flowerbed also - Jason's voice has such a clarity to it.
