I will buy the dvd as i didnt get to go to the shows, the circus live cd was great and i loved the different arrangements on songs aprt from up all night which was slightkly disapointing. Take That for me always sound far better live than on studio versions i think the osngs just really come to life.

Ya im not a huge documentary dvd fan, they are ok sometimes but get boring very quick, i think we iwll just get a straigh forward live dvd release and that will be it until they return with new material.

I think the dvd release at christmas will help add to the sales total of the cd.

I thought the album would leave the top 75 this week as it was number 73 last week but this week it rebounds 9 places to #64.
It would be nice if it continues to climb, i would hope the album will furthermore pick up christmas sales which would benefit the overall sales tally nicely.

Ya i hop eit can continue to climb, im sure they will get a few extra sales too over christmas, even if the album isnt top 75 the sales further down the chart will be as high as they are now for a top 75 placing so that will help boost overall sales. To be fair though, the album has sold brilliantly so anything else from here on in is just a bonus.

i wonder if they will ever match the chart success that beautiful world and its singles achieved again.

obviously BW has sold nearly 2.9million in the UK, Patience has (on pop justice sold over 800k in the uk) Shine must be over 500k now and RTW again has sold over 800k each charting tremendously.

comparing it to circus and progress, apart from the flood and GD the second and third singles (said it all peaked well but sales are only about 100k) havent done well sales wise or charts wise.

and album wise circus has sold 2.2 and progress nearly 2.5 million.... which is great but not as strong as BW

i just wonder if the days of take that dominating the single and album charts as they did during the BW era are over

I dont think they will ever beat the beautiful world era, that will be the absolute peak of their career, the follow up albums have done very very well and for many acts they never manage to follow up a huge seller with another massive seller but take that have very successfuly managed to do so.

Singles wise apart from the lead i cant really see them matching the beautiful world era either, the only way they have any chance of doing so is if they promote and handle the releases better. Patience and shine had strong launchess and promotion, the download and phyisical were released collectively and the phyisical was sold cheap enough, rule the world the same plus had the movie promotion benefit plus all 3 songs in my opinion were excellent especially rule the world.

The singles from the follow up album apart from the lead singles didnt get the same treatment and i found their releases very messy, ie available to download, phyisical coming 3 weeks later and maybe a video released 2 weeks after that again etc so if they want singles success they need to do more work which i honestly cant see happening. In my opinion singles like up all night and love love in my opinion deserved far more success. Said it all in my opinion wasnt as strong as those mentioned but it got a 3 version cd release, video etc all done on time, on saying that said it all went top 10 but sales wise it hasnt sold much more than up all night or love love so sometimes the chart peaks dont always represent the overall success.

Id wait for life from beautiful world got no promo really (granted it was a terrible song choice) and and it didnt sell much at all and with the exception of when we were young i think is their worst selling single, but again its sales are around 18,000 which isnt an awful lot less than id wait for life which peaked 71 places higher.

The process of single promotion and timing from their most recent two albums are nothing short of terrible and i dont really know who is at fault. For a band that has such wide appeal, usually gets large radio support the singles should perform substantialy better. While there is no doubt the lead singles are performing impressively, the follow up are not. And it is of my opinion the follow up singles are just as good but have underperformed due to bad promotion and release timing.

I would agree with you guys when you say they appear to concentrate on album success moreover than single success, but as i a fan i would like more top 10 singles and furthermore would like to see them boost their number 1 rates even further.

After dipping out of the top 75 last week for the first time to number 79 the album re bounds 25 places to number 54 this week.

corr i wonder why it rebounded like that?

Not sure, but sales are low in that end of the chart so i doubt there would be much of a gap between a #54 and #79 position, either way im happy its climbed and good to see its selling even if in low numbers.

Progressed is number 63 in the UK this week, down 9 places.

Its total sales in the UK are now around 2,290,000 from that total progressed roughly accounts for 225,000 which isnt so bad at all.

#74 in the uk this week, another week to add to their top 75 tally, hopefully it will get a few more weeks over time.
Now, if the album can manage to sustain some staying power from now until year end it would add a possible 30,000 sales to its current overall sales total.

Ya and to think how incredible the sales were especially when you compare them to sales for this year.
I wonder if the tour will get aired on ITV over Christmas, All the prevous tours have, Could help the Album.
I did not know all the tours have got aired on television at Christmas, however, it is a great marketing tool and should do nothing but increase awareness and sales of the dvd.
