Posted July 20, 200618 yr Source: NME.com Pete and Carl meet in London pub Pete Doherty and Carl Barat staged a surprise reunion in London this week (July 18). The former Libertines met at the Dublin Castle pub in Camden and chatted over pints for two hours before chatting with members of Los Angeles band Tender Box (pictured) who were playing their first UK show at the venue. The drinking session was the first time the pair have met up since their first post Libertines reunion at the Boogaloo Bar in Highgate last year. For more on the reunion and a exclusive Pete Doherty interview see next week's issue of NME which is on UK newsstands nationwide from July 26. Wishful thinking to think they'll reform :(
July 20, 200618 yr Ach, their second album was pretty rubbish. The first I'll give you. Nothing to suggest they'd be any good. I think they suffered from immense NME hype.
July 20, 200618 yr i loved the 2nd album it was better than babyshambles album and also better than dirty pretty things album, carl and bret are a team and really work well together
July 21, 200618 yr bret? This isn't Suede we're talking about you know! That said, the Anderson-Butler reunion wasn't half as good as everyone thought it would be :(
July 21, 200618 yr I personally think it can only be a good thing, even if they aren't as good as they were as I think The Libertines, although not good was a hell of a lot better than either Down In Albion or Waterloo To Anywhere, both for me are hugely disappointing albums.

Now, cow, plow, pow Pete: No the lyrics should be like this!

Down In Albion sounded like a bunch of demos and so wasn't that meanwhile Waterloo To Anywhere is a good album imo but stil nowhere The Libertines.
July 22, 200618 yr the dirty pretty things are good but they are missing something, overall i was disappointed with there material, good but not brilliant
