Posted July 20, 200618 yr This is for all the people who say Rob is more of an Entertainer than a singer. Well watch this and you will take it back. I always show people who say Rob is'nt a great singer this and love the fact that they all change their minds after they watch this :P It is such an emotional performance and i always shed a few tears watching it  Possibly my fave Rob live performance ever  [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxc1E11yhik.swf Edited July 20, 200618 yr by Robfan06
July 20, 200618 yr Oh thank you for that Robfan, I remember people saying to me the next day, that they really didn't know he has such a good voice. :D
July 20, 200618 yr Here's what I think. There is a myth that's been going round for a few years now which suggests Robbie is not a very good singer. The papers perpetuate this idea and people start to take it as gospel. I don't know how many stories I've seen printed which begin with ' He may not be the best singer in the World but.....' In fact, Robbie (IMHO) has a very good voice. There are very few artists in the world today who have voices strong enough to sing in Stadiums. He is one of them. He doesn't always hit the notes but that's mainly because when he's in concert he's bouncing around and running back and forward. It's very difficult to be pitch perfect when you're diving about a stage. He could of course mime like most of his pop peers but chooses not to do so. If you actually get Robbie singing a song when he's standing still or sitting on a stool he has a very very good voice. And quite a sensitive, sweet voice too. Just my opinion of course. B)
July 20, 200618 yr I agree with you Jupiter, I think he has a great voice, like you say, not many other voices can carry large stadiums, and I know he forgets lyrics and doesn't always pitch perfect, but when he really does concentrate putting a song over, he can really really sound wonderful. I don't think there is anyone, who can put as much emotion into their songs like Robbie can. Often, like you, I cannot understand this perpetual press comment that he isn't a good singer. He may not have a mellow voice, and I know there are others who probably have better, but its Robbie's voice that gets me everytime. There is only one Robbie.
July 20, 200618 yr I totally agree with you Robfan06! Robbie isn't just great entertainer, he is wonderfull singer wiht great voise!
July 21, 200618 yr You've already said everything....there's nothing left to add.......He's the man!!!!!!!!!! :yahoo: :winner:
July 21, 200618 yr (this is only time hubby has said Robbie can sing ..... he was really surprised by Albert Hall show)
July 21, 200618 yr I think lots of people were surprised by his performance at the RAH ICR, hopefully because of that the public may not take any notice of the press put downs. :D

July 27, 200618 yr I was in the library the other day and borrowed Live at the Albert! I've never seen it before, only Bojangles and a few other songs on MTV...It's wonderful! I love the end, when he comes back, takes the microphone and tells his mom he loves her! (this is a happy crying face now!) oh, and when he sings IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR and looks at those Frank Sinatra photos...and starts crying....
