I can't see Michael Jackson being in the top 10 if I'm honest.

Andre Reiu will probably be in there, and maybe Katy Perry, Pink or Plan B.

Really?

It's doing really well on pre-orders and his name and legendary status alone will ensure it's huge. Plus, the week it's released means that it will debut on the xmas chart - I'll be shocked if it goes in any lower than #2. Take That will be the other album in the top 2, naturally.

I'm not sure about predicting 1-10 but

Take That number 1

Susan Boyle top 5

JLS between 2 and 8

Bon Jovi lower end top 10

Michael Buble between 5 and 10

One of Pink and Cheryl Cole to be bottom-end top 10.

If Duffy charts top 3 next week then she'll be top 10 but I don't think she will sell more than 50-60k so probably won't be higher than 4 or 5 (waits for her to do 100k+ and get the #1!)

I also have a sneaky feeling Jacko could steal the Christmas No.1 album. If not it'll be Take That.

Doubt 100k would mean the No.1 next week judging by what TT are doing this week still.

Huh? Explain, please?

Although surprises might happen but with all the exposure he has had it seems impossible to me. Not necessarily no. 1 but definitely Top 5.

1. Take That - Progress

2. Michael Jackson - Michael

3. Susan Boyle - The Gift

4. Rihanna - Loud

5. JLS - Outta This World

6. Alexandra Burke - Overcome [Deluxe Edition]

7. Ellie Goulding - Bright Lights

8. Bon Jovi - Greatest Hits

9. The Priests - Noel

10. P!nk - Greatest Hits... So Far

Other possibilities: Westlife, Black Eyed Peas, Olly Murs, Duffy, Glee Cast, Andre Rieu, Kings of Leon, Cheryl Cole, Katherine Jenkins...

I'm not sure about The Priests considering their last album 'only' got to #18 but this is Christmas-themed so I could see it doing better. Plus there's usually at least one album of that type doing well at Christmas - but it could well be Andre Rieu as someone else mentioned. Rihanna is probably dependent on 'What's My Name?' buzzing around high up in the singles chart, which I think it will. P!nk and Bon Jovi seem likely to be the big compilation albums this year. And I'm throwing Ellie Goulding in purely because it's doing very well on pre-orders on most sites and I can see 'Your Song' still being quite high singles-wise then.

Although it will also depend who actually performs on X Factor the Saturday before as they would probably get a boost into the top 10 that week too, I guess.

Doubtful

i will be suprised if this goes top ten again, i think top twenty will be a lucky achievement and on the back of the x factor performance. when is the silense released/ when is the performance?

Hey, don't pick on my predictions :P I'm rubbish at this stuff!

I just thought that with an assumed X Factor performance it would easily go back into the top 10. I stand by it. After all, Michael Bublé went back to #2 with his re-release after an X Factor performance.

01 Take That

02 Michael Jackson

03 Susan Boyle

04 Kings Of Leon

05 P!nk

06 Duffy

I didn't realise it was out Christmas week, that's a highly unusual strategy to go with. I'd assumed it would've been out for a minimum of three weeks by the time the Christmas Chart comes around (a reasonable assumption given the previous 5 Christmas charts have seen a combined total of 2 new entries to the top 40).

In that case I'm sure it will be top 10 and probably top 5, there's not a chance of being number one though, it'll need 300k odd and I really can't see that much interest in a posthumous album by someone who died 18 months ago. Last year maybe, but not this year so much. Did people not listen to anything he released in the final 15 years of his life? I can't see it being any good at all.

Never underestimate the fan base of Michael Jackson.

But yea, because it's debut week it'll chart high.

My guesses are that Kings of Leon won't be in top 10..The album has started the style of Leona Lewis' Echo and has sort of flopped in the US.

Pink and Duffy are good bets.

Rihanna won't be there, can't really think Loud would tempt that much more people than Rated R did. It might go say 3xp in the long run though

Buble would have the best selling album since Spirit if Crazy Love stayed in Top 10 until christmas. That's scary imo :P

Kings Of Leon - Only By The Night is 663.3k ahead of Crazy Love, CL wouldn't sell that (+ whatever else OBTN sell, as it's still top 60 at the moment) in the last 5 weeks of 2010 even if it did stay top 10 every week...

Also AFAIA OBTN was never re-released while both Spirit and CL were.

CL probably will overtake OBTN at some point next year though, barring CL falling and not recovering and/or OBTN returning to the higher reaches of the chart for ages again (which could happen, you never know :P)
