December 6, 201014 yr Author Tubridy couldn't grill a sausage FFS  We already knew he would be performing solo - RTE said it in the original announcement. As i said I never expected to see Rob bothering to appear on the LLS so I can't wait to see him perform solo. I wonder what he will sing? No doubt it will be something extra predictable like 'Feel' How I wish the lads would change things up and sing a different track other than The Flood - and Rob sings Heart & I. Won't happen though  Intersting about SCD too - I was half expecitng an XF final performance of the next single to order to max sales - and also for them to perform with One Direction but alas they will appear on SCD to perform The Flood and NF again - think they are doing the very same two songs at the Royal Variety as well. You would think after so long apart they would want to freshen things up and sing other songs - new and old.
December 9, 201014 yr Author Tubs said on his radio show that the guests tomorrow night are: Take That, Robbie Williams, Gordon Brown and Daniel O'Donnell. What a bizzaire line up
December 10, 201014 yr Author Was just listening to Tubs radio show and he is getting texts in for questions tonight - the free Dublin gig has been mentioned plus the song choice for tomorrow's XF duet and also why the other four are not performing for the duet too. Tubs said that TT will be on at the very start of the show. He said Robbie will be singing a solo classic followed by a long interview and then all five will sing for the first time on the LLS. Feel and The Flood are surely the two tracks? Here is the link again - http://www.rte.ie/live/ it will be on the right hand side to click on by tonight. Available worldwide to watch live. I get the feeling Tubridy is more looking forward to interviewing former British PM Gordon Brown - he loves politics. I hope he isn't counting on Brown being as interesting an interviewee as Tony Blair was. I think Mary from the XF is on too.
December 10, 201014 yr Strange set up tonight, robbiw came on first singing feel, then gary and mark joined for the interview, jason and howard were not part of the interview but joined in for them singing the flood. That a side it was a good interview and i honestly believe if robbie hasnt truly made up with the other boys the lot of them deserve oscars as not just from this interview i genuinly see a connection with them in a friendship way aswell as musically.
December 10, 201014 yr I get the feeling Tubridy is more looking forward to interviewing former British PM Gordon Brown - he loves politics. I hope he isn't counting on Brown being as interesting an interviewee as Tony Blair was. Well con-artists are usually good for entertainment value ... much more so than decent blokes. Kath
December 10, 201014 yr Author It was enjoyable. The crowd were as Rob described the Irish being "mental" The interview on the lads part was good but on Tubs not so much. He asked the same question (comparing this time to the first time) in a variety of different ways and took up valuable interviewing time in doing so. There are so many topics that were not brought up. Nothing about the creation of the new album - the actual MUSIC - it was all just about how they felt in the 90's and what's different now. I was hoping he would ask Rob a bit about the solo career considering he sung a solo song - about the connection with Ireland and especially the famous FREE GIG :P I am feeling sorry for Jason and Howard. Why are they not being included in these interviews? I don't see the problem with all five doing the interview? They did it fine the first time around and Westlife among others managed to do interviews with five. It seems odd tbh - and it was also evident in the performance when Rob, Mark and Gary left the stage to go up to the audience and Howard and Jason just stayed behind. I'd like to know their feeling on this. Maybe they prefer it this way? I enjoyed it but am positive it would have been far more iteresting for us fans who have heard these very answers endless times now - had someone who asks extremly interesting questions about MUSIC and fame in general in an intelligent manner that gets totally different answers - someone like Dave Fanning. Oh well it could have been worse - Pat Kenny could have done it instead of Tubs  Edited December 10, 201014 yr by De Niro
December 10, 201014 yr Author Well con-artists are usually good for entertainment value ... much more so than decent blokes. Kath True. Comparing Blair and Brown is similar to here in Ireland with Bertie and Cowen. You go from one charismatic con-artist to an extremly boring old sod zero communication skills. Brown is on now though. He is nowhere near as bad as our PM Cowen though who has essentially destroyed our economy with his incompetence and arrogance. :puke2:
December 10, 201014 yr I've got this on in the background now from your link. How much of this do I have to sit through before Rob comes on? Kath
December 10, 201014 yr Author I've got this on in the background now from your link. How much of this do I have to sit through before Rob comes on? Kath They were on at the very start. It is still on live now and Jups hero :naughty: Daniel O'Donnell is on with his wife. It won't be on the player to replay it till tomorrow I think. Probably on youtube before then though.
December 11, 201014 yr Author I missed Wee Daniel? Bugger. <_< Don't worry - it will be on RTE Player tomorrow and you can drool over him while he sings his latest Xmas song :yahoo: He and his wife were on chatting about how amazing it was to be at Cliff Richard's 50th concert. Your other hero Gordon Brown was also on. Mary Byne did not turn up. <_< There is an interview with the lads on Irish radio on Monday as Tess posted - the DJ did it this afternoon and every question will be fromt he viewers. I fired in a few via email. It is these sort of interviews that are interesting - the LLS and all others really are the same answers to the same questions over and over.
December 11, 201014 yr Is Daniel still married? Damn. <_< Gordon Brown. :puke2: What's he plugging? Does he have a tremendously exciting book coming out? Tesco Mary seems to have been gagged after her 'T'was a fix outburst' What questions did you submit? :smoke:
December 11, 201014 yr Author Here you are Jups - it's on the RTE Player now :D Rob and TT are on at the very start for over 30 minutes. Wee Danny is on at the end :smoke: http://www.rte.ie/player/#v=1086836
December 12, 201014 yr I am feeling sorry for Jason and Howard. Why are they not being included in these interviews? I don't see the problem with all five doing the interview? I'd like to know their feeling on this. Maybe they prefer it this way? http://www.herald.ie/entertainment/around-town/fans-go-wild-as-take-that-wow-late-late-2457240.html TAKE That mania gripped the capital as the chart-topping manband jetted in to appear on the Late Late Show. Ryan Tubridy hinted at the unprecedented levels of hysteria at Montrose last night, where tight security was in place amid fears the group would be mobbed by fans. "It's not often you see grown women scaling walls and climbing through bins -- it's been that kind of day. It is like being in the school hall at a convent," he said. Cheeky Robbie Williams got the show off to a blistering start by performing Feel. "It's good to be back, really good," he said. Tickets to the closed-set show were like gold dust with just 200 seats in the live audience, leading dozens of fans to wait outside. Gary Barlow and Mark Owen then joined Williams for a candid chat much to the delight of the predominantly female audience. The Herald has learned that two of the group, Howard Donald and Jason Orange, only pulled out of the interview at the last minute. "They had five chairs set aside for the chat but the two guys were adamant that they wouldn't be taking part. It was at the very last minute and Ryan couldn't talk them around," they added. Barlow revealed the group are extremely excited ahead of their sold out gigs in Croke Park next summer. "We cannot wait to play two nights this time," he said. Newlywed Williams, who revealed his dad was once good pals with Irish legend Joe Dolan, took the opportunity to talk about his "magic" wedding to Ayda Field. Mark said of the reunion: "I suppose since the day that Rob left in 1995 the dream was that one day we would all get back together again. We all feel like five of the luckiest guys in the world at the moment." Insiders were surprised to see rugby ace Rob Kearney hanging out with them backstage. "He was there in the dressing room with the lads. He was on his crutches and was a real uberfan," a source said. AOIFE ANDERSON They've not started to fall out already have they?

December 13, 201014 yr I actually reckon the rest will all quit one by one and he'll be last man standing  He's having fun by the looks of it. Edited December 13, 201014 yr by Jupiter9
December 13, 201014 yr I actually reckon the rest will all quit one by one and he'll be last man standing  He's having fun by the looks of it. Two men standing. Just think of all those Gary and Rob duets we're to be blessed with in the coming years. They may do a cover of The Beatles' When I'm 64! Kath
