Catchy synth-infused rock has already sold 1m copies in the US, is on the verge of crossing over onto our shores come Dec/early Jan

The track is rather good for a new discovery act from the US.

Could be a contender for the Sound of 2011.

This has been all over radio here since the late summer.

I'm not really into it...

It seems to have been on US iTunes & Hot 100 for ages, so I've already listened a couple of times. I'm impartial to it. It's certainly not bad, but I'm not absolutely loving it.
I want his hair.

Better than the most horrible pop $h!te there is atm... Rockier sounds are always good. pretty surprised that US radio has embraced this actually.

Won't do much in Europe though

TBH I would lump this in with the most horrible pop $h!te. Just because it has some guitars doesn't mean it's any good.

AND I'm starting to get really fed up with this 80s retro synth bollox and all the band wagon jumpers.

Gave this a listen not expecting to like it much, but it's actually really good :o
