I actually find it bizzarre that you think If I Were a Boy, Closer and The Man Who Can't be Moved (the worst songs of the year in this list left) are the best songs from the year, and think American Boy, Sweet About Me and Mercy (3 of the best songs in the list) are boring? So wierd.

Those 3 are the worst songs in the list, i like all the others.

Is there actually any songs we both like?

Those aren't my favourite 3 from the poll, they're amongst my favourites. My favourites are Live Your Life and Wearing My Rolex.

They are such good songs though, how can you possible like American Boy (terrible lyrics), Sweet About Me (one of the most irritating songs ever) and Mercy (yawn)?? LOL well i guess a lot of people liked them they all sold quite well, but they are just so bad.

If I Were A Boy, Closer & The Man Who Cant Be Moved are 3 of my favourite songs, good lyrics, good beat, good vocals, tick all the boxes.

I like all the above apart from the 3 i mentioned in first bit.

I can understand the lyrics and vocals, but the beats? I mean, that's pretty much the reason I find those songs boring, and Wearing My Rolex has a legendary beat, as does Live Your life, which also has fantastic lyrics, in my opinion.

If I Were a Boy, etc. might have good lyrics, but I wouldn't listen to Shakespeare with a bit of quiet piano in the background. This is also why I find some Leona songs boring. Beyonce songs with a good beat are Video Phone and Single Ladies.

Music is all about good lyrics! How can lyrics not be important to you? I dont get it.

Closer has a brilliant beat! If I Were A Boy and The Man Who Cant Be Moved have a great melody, love them.

Difference is between us i really like quality songs with great lyrics, vocals and melodies, you seem to like anything with a good beat even if the lyrics were blah blah blah blah blah.

So do you like any ballads?

Yes, I do actually like Blah Blah Blah.

No, I'm not a huge fan of ballads, but there's some I do like. I'm liking the hip hop ballads at the moment, like Airplanes and Love the Way You Lie. From this poll, I like Take a Bow aswell.

Lyrics aren't hugely important to me though (outside of hip hop). I mean, some of my favourite songs from this year are Alors on danse, We No Speak Americano, Miami 2 Ibiza, Barbra Streisand, I Need Air, etc. It's all about the instrumentals with those songs, although Tinie's lyrics in the radio edit of Miami 2 Ibiza are pretty awesome, in my opinion.

But that's the thing. In hip hop songs, such as Live Your Life, I just listen to them, and end up memorizing the lyrics naturally, without trying. Whilst with the more pop orientated songs, I often only usually end up knowing the lyrics from the hook. I do not have a clue what the lyrics are in The Script's song. I just know the tune. Infact, there's some songs I have on my mp3 player such as Alejandro, Green Light and Commander, where I only have the instrumental, because I think the vocals detract from the piece. Heck, in dance and electronica, the focus is 100% on the beat, on the instrumental, and then the vocals are added in last minute, so the songs are more radio friendly. And in hip hop, I just find it so much easier to listen to the lyrics without concentrating. The best rappers make it so that their rapping flows so perfectly that it's so catchy I can't not memorize the lyrics. Not to mention, with rapping, there's the whole "You can fit so much more content into such a short time" factor.

I just knew you were going to say that
