it is called brainwashing :wacko: I have found that some of the lyrics and particularly the melody are doing that to me. Cannot get it out of my head whether I want it there or not and, I WANT IT THERE :wacko: :yahoo:

 

Wish he included more of the chorus though and cut some of the rap. I like it but would have loved it if he had.

 

I do find it rather a strange single to choose to launch an album as it only appeals to a certain market. I have no doubt in my mind that 'Louise' and some of the other tracks will be more of the type of songs I love from him.

As for the song itself, I love it because it's SO old school 80s rap...I can see this song being on the "Breakin" soundtrack, lolol!! (Sorry for all you youngsters who have no idea what I'm referring to!)

I've been reading a few of the music forums today.

From what I can gather, boys (particularly teenage boys) seem to love it. Teenage girls think it's ok. Older music fans are somewhere between 'I'm not sure about it' and 'This is diabolical'.

 

Most people posting seem to think this could be the end of Robbie's career as his 'fanbase' will hate it. :o

 

The Hip Young Things obviously think us Robbie fans are a bunch of AOR/MOR old fogeys. :angry:

Personally I love Rudebox, its very urban British with lots of local slang and I think it will appeal to the younger age group - my 10 year old loves it too :cheer:

 

Maybe he's targetting the 'download' generation. :D

 

I'm still in 2 minds about it. I like the chorus but I think there's a bit too much rap for my taste. <_< ( Not that I dislike rap. I love Eminem but I just think Rudebox needs a bit more melody)
