Posted December 8, 201014 yr There have been various topics and discussions in this forum about this. Should Kylie leave Parlophone? What should her next album be like? Who should she work with? For me personally, I want her to take some RISKS. Kylie should move on from Parlo, 10 years and some amazing music is good enough. The dance Kylie that started with Spinning Around is getting a bit old now. I think the Acoustic album would be a good way to end things.
December 8, 201014 yr I'd like Aphrodite to be re-released with some new tracks including "higher" and a follow-up brand new single. I think to give up on the album now would be a major tragedy. Certainly, an acoustic greatest hits would be an interesting release and possibly bring new fan interest. I think if the re-release doesnt sell, then Kylie deffo needs to consider a change of record company in the future as Parlo may not be the best place for her to stay.
December 8, 201014 yr I think Kylie should make a heavy metal album. Somehow I think her voice would fit with it.
December 8, 201014 yr I would love a re release of aphrodite aswell and release a brand new song to promote it. I do think people are worrying a bit too much though, i have said it before and i will say it again better than today will outsell a few kylie singles that have peaked higher and i also think it will outsell in my arms which made the top 10 so from a sales point of view the single isnt a complete disaster. I think aphrodite will eventually manage platnum status without a re release which isnt bad for something that many consider a flop. I would never write kylie off, kylie more than anyone knows exactly how to bounce back and have a big hit again and we must remember all the lovers shows kylie still has the ability to connect with the public through her music as all the lovers is one of her best selling singles. Personaly im not overly excited about the acoustic greatest hits i would like to see kylie do a more electro route something in the style of hurts or the material mgmt had for their first album, i think that style would really suit kylie very well.
December 8, 201014 yr Should Kylie leave Parlophone? Yes but only because it looks like EMI will be going under soon. What should her next album be like? Nothing as risky as IP but still take a few risks. Come back with something different to the typical Kylie sound. A mixture of the decon stuff with X would be my perfect type album. Electro sounding with great lyrical and vocal content. Who should she work with? Not sure. Bring in some new and unheard of talent instead of using producers etc that everyone else uses. December 8, 201014 yr Author I think she should move on from the album, any future singles may run the risk of missing the top 40 and doing NOTHING for her. New record deal, Parlo don't seem to know how to properly manage her. Kylie needs to have alot more say in what she records and releases. She needs to know when her records are released, X-Factor was totally embarrassing, if she has said that it was out in December but the album is out and it can be downloaded, it would have helped more. For the next studio album, I was risks as I have said. Kylie should have much more say in writing songs, I want her to have a writig credit on every song. She is very capable at it. More focus on the writers and not producers. She always seems to have loads of different producers on her albums and they can really suffer. I'd love a rock/electro sound to her next album. One or Two main producer, working together to ensure the album fits together and gels. As for the style, I want something different for Kylie. Hurts, Brandon Flowers, Madonna and Alanis Morissette (go with me on this  ) have sounds I can imagine Kylie doing. Also I want Kylie to explore her voice more, really use it to her advantage, she is capable. Who I think could benefit Kylie: Hurts - writing songs and maybe another duet. Devotion is stunning and it really suited Kylie's voice. Lyrics were incredible. Brandon Flowers- He has a great talent for writing songs and I think he can help bring out Kylie's writing skills. Duet OBVIOUSLY Confide In Me meets Human. Alanis Morissette - She writes and is heavily involved in producing so she knows what she is doing and what production can fit a song. Her style is not too different to quite a few Brandon/Killers songs either. A duet would be mind blowing too, Kylie has stated she wants a duet with another woman. Impossible Princess had some 'Alanis Moments' to it and it remains one of Kylie's best albums to date. William Orbit - I really think Kylie could manage to create her own Frozen or The Flood. Guy Sigsworth - He produced Alanis's last album with her, some songs could have fitted Kylie and he is great at Electro stuff. He created the rock/electro sound on her album that I want Kylie to do. Two songs which stick out for me are Underneath and Ed Drewett - he is a good song writer too, plus a duet would be awesome. He is also adorable. Not all of that on the same album though :lol Brandon/Alanis/Guy would be the best combo. Oh and GET RID OF WILLIAM BAKER! This is only my opinion, I imagine alot of you would disagree
December 8, 201014 yr So good opinions there and a duets album is something i have wanted kylie to do for ages, a new duets album with a bonus dics of her duets to date would make a great album. Kylie;s duets to date have been very varied which shows she could duet with a wide choice of people. Aphrodite is a great album but it lacked stand out singles apart from all the lovers, its a great album when listened to in its full unit but the songs dont stand out as much when released as singles. Kylie will bunce back big with her next brand new studio album, to be fair she has been on a high for 10 years now so she needs to probably go into a new phase and i have no doubt she will bounce back as big as ever again.
December 9, 201014 yr I think she needs to re-invent herself, re-invent in a way that no one thinks of. Re-invention is the biggest weapon that she has right now and she should use it.

Re-invent into what though? Kylie's been through various image changes/styles over the years. Aphrodite in my opinion, is her strongest album yet so not sure what else she can do!! I think the record company are somewhat to blame re. promotion schedule and lack of radio support

I think she has had great promotion with this album. You cant blame the record label about radio support. Its not up to them. Plus All the lovers is one of the top 10 radio hits of the whole year. The other songs also were top20 in radio. People just simply didnt like the last two songs, simple as
December 9, 201014 yr (01) Re-release Aphrodite with "Higher" and about 4-5 new tracks. Get it to platinum. (02) Release an accoustic greatest hits as a fan 'present' it would be nice to see her vocals get some credit. (03) Leave Parlophone, there's nothing new coming from the partnership. (04) Write a new cutting edge album - something with surprises and risks. Ditch the overtly 'gay' imaging that people associate with her. Possibly a futuristic electro-pop sound, something that is new and that isn't a copy and makes people sit up and take notice. She needs to connect with a new fanbase, don't rely on her built up fanbase for massive sales as it obviously ain't gonna happen. Become relevant and trend setting again. (05) Pick a DECENT lead single with muchos promotion. Get the XFactor performance date right!! (06) Take over the world (again)
December 9, 201014 yr I think aphrodite will get a re release around the time higher gets a release and hopefully there will be some new songs aswell that can be released as a single to promote the album along with higher. Im not sure leaving parlophone would be so great, at the end of the day they have produced some fantastic work with kylie so far and i agree aphrodite is a great album, i think the just need to focus on getting mor ethan 1 killer single of an album, all the lovers has shown kylie can still have a hit so parlophone are not completly off the the radar in that way. Aphrodite and its isngles have got great promo the problem is the promo timing has been a little off for example get outta my way was performed on paul o grady weeks before its release and likewise with ebtter than today on x factor, probably if the slots had different dates it might have helped out better but at the end of the day if people dont like the songs no amount of promo will make them purchase it.
December 9, 201014 yr Work with Tinie Tempah/Dizzee/Prof. Green/Ne'Yo/labrinth and release a chav/grime album, its guaranteed to be a hit.
December 9, 201014 yr I'd like some more dark and brooding sounding electro and less camp/stereotypical dance/pop songs as much as I love them. Maybe with a more alternative edge, something more substantial than usual, and with it having more personal involvement from Kylie herself.
December 9, 201014 yr So...like Impossible Princess? ^^ No, that's not electro. Maybe with some of the elements of that album though, if that makes sense?
December 9, 201014 yr Author It does, :D and it would be an incredible album. Hence why I want Alanis to be involved :heehee:
December 9, 201014 yr It does, :D and it would be an incredible album. Hence why I want Alanis to be involved :heehee: I was just filled with visions of Kylie covering the brilliant 'Versions Of Violence'... actually, I can't imagine it working but you get the idea. :P
December 10, 201014 yr Oh yh, I haven't answered one question yet - should she leave Parlophone? HELL YEAH! But where should she go then? Polydor? Warner? Any ideas people?
