Britney will be fine... Top-20 in iTunes by Tuesday for sure. Hopefully she'll be in the top-10 again though.

Climbed to #28 and the only promo she's done is the video. Quite good I'd say.

Didn't the same situation happen with 'Telephone'?

That was different because the single was building steam slowly instead of peaking and dropping, plus GaGa had already done promotion and a performance of it on Jonathon Ross not long before the video was out, so it was already Top 20 or higher on iTunes by the time the video premiered; so it didn't have as much of a climb as HIAM does. Normally, it depends on how popular the track is for a video to have the best effect, like Rihanna with S&M, that was already climbing due to how much it was being cherrypicked from the album, so by the time the video came out, it just helped it go faster up the chart the way it was already going. So HIAM has a harder job of reversing its trend downwards, and back up again, and it's doing pretty well so far.

:drama: What an awful UK Chart Run. :( I was hoping with the release of the Video it would at least go Top 20 again... Doesn't look like thats going to happen now though.

Oh oops. It's #30 in the UK, not the US (it's #14). So a Ryan Seacrest interview wouldn't really help for UK sales lol My bad.

does they playing video a lot in UK/USA? or it's still to fresh? I think when she get heavy rotation on tv that the public will connect with the song more!

Its been getting A LOT of Airplay on the Music Channels. Everytime i look at least 1 channel has 'Britney Spears: BRAND NEW VIDEO!' playing...

 

They've also been playing shows like 'Britney Spears Top 20 Videos' etc.

 

'Smash Hits' even played Britney for a whole day last Friday. I'm surprised it hasn't had a bigger impact on its iTunes position tbh. :(
