Posted December 15, 201014 yr Ok, so the guys confirmed recently that That's the Truth is the new single. It was hard finding the track on youtube as I think they're being blocked, but this is working at the moment: Xquc__ekSuQ What do we think? I think its a lot stronger than Party Girl and Shine a Light even. I think it will do very well if promoted well. Slightly gutted they didn't choose Nowhere Left to Run, but that could be next. December 16, 201014 yr Ok, so the guys confirmed recently that That's the Truth is the new single. Slightly gutted they didn't choose Nowhere Left to Run, but that could be next.Party girl and Shine a light are stronger and Infact there's much stronger on the album. I really like the song but i can't see it getting much airplay and charting high I think it's more of an album track. Nowhere left to run will be the final single from the album i think
December 17, 201014 yr Author Party girl and Shine a light are stronger and Infact there's much stronger on the album. I really like the song but i can't see it getting much airplay and charting high I think it's more of an album track. Nowhere left to run will be the final single from the album i think I don't think it sounds like an album track at all. I actually think it manages to sound like a traditional McFly track but also something really relevant for the current market at the same time. I'm glad they haven't chosen This Song/ I need a Woman/ Foolish as they sound like album tracks to me and I don't think they would do well at all. I think the fact That's the Truth won the fan vote is also a good sign as to how fans will take to the release. Yeah, I think it will be the last release. Will end the album on a high too, I would say.
December 18, 201014 yr Author Sounds very Backstreet Boys! Can sort of hear it, but only remember a couple of tracks by them!

December 18, 201014 yr Author Foolish would make for a good single and actually so would This song with it's catchy chorus I don't think they're quite right for the current charts. I have a soft spot for Foolish, but both tracks are too plain to make an impact, in my opinion. That's the Truth is incredibly catchy with a stand out chorus, so I really think it does the job. Its also a lot faster than Foolish/ This Song, as are most chart hits at the moment. I think maybe McFly could have gotten away with releasing Foolish/ This Song a few years ago, but not right now. Having said that, I doubt they would have. I think releasing Foolish would be like releasing 'Walk In the Sun' from Motion in the Ocean. If Nowhere Left to Run isn't chosen as the next release, I would like them to try releasing Take Me There. I think it would be a bit of a risk, but I think there is something about it which tells me it could be a track which slowly increases interest from airplay, a bit like Shine a Light which has great longevity at the moment. So I don't think its as big a track as That's the Truth or NLTR, but I don't think its as much of an album track as This Song/ Foolish. I've decided the End of the World wouldn't really work either as a release because of the sample mainly. Its a good use, but I'd prefer a completely original release, so I'm thankful they've decided against it. What I would like to see actually, is for the next single, if they do a fan vote they should allow a long time scale for fans to vote. But not only that, I think there should be second, third and fourth choice options. I think it would be easier to establish the more popular songs, because obviously everyone who voted for That's the Truth may also really love the same track as a second option etc. I'd be really interested in the results. Anyway, I wonder when the release for That's the Truth will be? Can't wait to see the video! I wonder what it will be like? Would like to see something with a bit more imagination than the previous two.
December 18, 201014 yr Author Actually, if That's the Truth sells well but album sales don't improve, I could see them releasing a couple more tracks before moving on, maybe?
December 19, 201014 yr Author Probably one of the worst songs on the album... Really? Which song would you prefer?
December 27, 201014 yr I got the feeling this will be out mid march (right in the middle of the Arena Tour)
January 2, 201114 yr Mcfly performed 'Nowhere Left to Run' on Alan Carr Chatty man tonight which seems to have gone down well (it's already trending on twitter) and the performance was brilliant
January 2, 201114 yr Author Mcfly performed 'Nowhere Left to Run' on Alan Carr Chatty man tonight which seems to have gone down well (it's already trending on twitter) and the performance was brilliant Its jumped on Itunes already. An odd choice unless they have changed the release now, don't you think? Judging by Twitter comments its hyped general music fans up for its release now - which might not even happen. & If it does it wont be until about June!
January 3, 201114 yr Author Well "Nowhere Left To Run" is the stronger release out of the two! I agree, although I reckon That's the Truth is the second strongest actually so its not that bad a choice.

January 4, 201114 yr If they had any sense they'd release Nowhere Left To Run next, following the trending on twitter and the positive reviews following the Alan Carr show. I think it's a good a choice as any from the album, catchy and radio-friendly.
January 4, 201114 yr Foolish would make for a good single and actually so would This song with it's catchy chorus Yeah This Song has one of the catchiest McFly choruses for a long time! I'd love them to release it as a single but can't see it happening really. I really hope they don't release 'iF U C Kate', i think that would be the worst choice of single.
