GREAT CHART! :P

Good album picks too - Sex & Violence!

How are the rest of the Mansonettes doing?

Hi Andy, this is ace. It's like Buzzjack has turned into Friends Reunited albeit temporarily (while the buzz lasts  )

Who else, Krissie? Any other recent rerecruits? And HI! I get what you mean by the buzzz.

You've probably seen some of our posts scattered all over the place.

Ghosty (Martin), Cod! (Chris), Emily Haines (Caz), The Viper (Matt). Actually, I think almost all the ChC regulars ended up here apart from Elliot, Helaina and Thom (aka Helter Skelter althogh he now resides on Haven as Lenny).

Whatever happened to Matthew Tate, brandykelly et all?

Dandy, Dandy, Dandy, I said I'd get round to commenting on this evantually and well, I have. I know it's taken a while, but it's hard to find free time amongst my nine hour a week timetable! :drama:

Here are comments on the songs in the top 50 that I do know, I shall be listening with intrigue the ones which I don't tonight and tomorrow, and I imagine (and hope) that the iTunes voucher I got for my birthday will be eaten into! :D

050|Strange Talk 'Climbing Walls'

049|Museum Of Bellas Artes 'Who Do You Love'

These are two of my favourite songs entered into Unknown Pleasures, both are fantastic although if I had to pick one I'd say I prefer 'Who Do You Love'.

047|LCD Soundsystem 'All I Want'

Definitely one of the best off 'This is Happening', in my top three along with 'Dance Yrself Clean' and 'I Can Change'

046|Pallers 'The Kiss'

From two of my favourite Unknown Pleasures entries to the one which is definitely my favourite. I've grown to absolutely adore this since the summer, it's beautiful.

044|Patrick Wolf 'Time Of My Life'[

This is decent enough, but 'Hard Times' and 'The Magic Position' aside, I've never liked Patrick that much.

043|I Blame Coco 'In Spirit Golden'

I agree with what you say about the album, I was left fairly disappointed in it really.... I'm surprised this is so high though, I tired of it after a while.

041|Massive Attack 'Paradise Circus'

This is certainly decent enough, I'm not really a fan of Massive Attack (although they do have 5 or 6 great singles) and this sits there with most of their material, something I'll happily listen to but not go back to that often.

036|Foals 'Spanish Sahara'

I adore this to bits, it's by far the best thing that they've ever done and I think ever likely to. Their album was great but this is a cut above the rest of it.

035|Lady Gaga feat. Beyoncé 'Telephone'

Here I am, drinking real ale with my beard after a hard day of D.I.Y. listening to the song I said was the best of the year singing along to Lady GaGa and Beyonce! http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/disco.gif

034|Janelle Monáe feat. Big Boi 'Tightrope'

Wonderful song, I really do think that 'The ArchAndroid' was the album I underappreciated most in 2010. Her performance of this on Jools Holland was brilliant.

032|Zola Jesus 'Night'

Agree with what you say about this. I bought her album at the back end of last year and I really enjoy it, this is definitely the best thing on it.

031|Tove Styrke 'White Light Moment'[/b]

A fantastic pop song although I think I listened to it far too much too quickly as I'm quite bored of it now....

029|Big Boi feat. Cutty 'Shutterbugg'

I do rather like this, I've no idea how I managed to forget about it pretty much all year though, it's as if I always liked it and I knew that, but it never had any impact on my thinking of what songs I liked at the time or at the end of the year.

028|Perfume Genius 'Learning'

I listened to this when it made the top 40 of the Indie/Alt thing and I was quite impressed. I'm going to put this in both lists though as I still need to download it...

027|Robyn 'Indestructible'

The first song of hers to miss my top 5. It's still great, but I felt it was just a bit too similar to what had been on the first two instalments.

026|Salem 'King Night'

The first song I'm really not bothered about....

023|Kanye West feat. Pusha T 'Runaway'

Something quite special. My favourite song of his, although the more I listen to the current album the better I think some of it is.

022|I Blame Coco feat. Robyn 'Caesar'

Definitely my favourite of Coco's. I know Robyn doesn't feature on this that much but she still manages to make it.

021|Crystal Castles 'Celestica'

Wonderful, and I regret this not peaking beyond #2 on my chart too! Was my favourite of them until November....

020|Caribou 'Jamelia'

Easily one of the best two tracks on the album, and I'm fairly sure the other one is the one still to come.

019|Baths 'Maximalist'

This is one of the best from Baths album, I tried to get into it but just couldn't.

018|Future Islands feat. Katrina Ford 'In The Fall'

Another Unknown Pleasures discovery for me, and another good song. Speaking of which, it can't be long until the next one! :o

017|HEALTH 'USA Boys'

I downloaded this and liked it when it first came out but I didn't really give it any knid of full attention so it almost passed me by until the UP it was in.

016|Groove Armada 'Paper Romance'

I didn't know they were retiring! I can't say I'll be overly disappointed though, they only have a handful of songs I really like, this definitely included.

Did this chart for you at the beginning of 2010? I'm sure I recognise it and remember downloading a rap song I saw in your top 10 and not liking it? It was probably this.

014|Yeasayer 'Ambling Alp'

This was a song that kept growing on me every time I heard it. Great song.

012|Vampire Weekend 'Giving Up The Gun'

I agree this was definitly an instant highlight from them. I thought it was the type of song that would annoy me with repeated listens. It's a sign of its high quality that it never came close to annoying.

011|School Of Seven Bells 'Heart Is Strange'

I think this is great, reached number 2 for me! It was much better than anything I'd heard by them previous to it.

010|Caribou 'Odessa'

And it is, shocker! Great song though it took a while to grown on me completely.

009|Diamond Rings 'Show Me Your Stuff'

I downloaded his album but it made no impression on me so I'll have to listen to this one again.

008|Fang Island 'Daisy'

Hmm, Go! Team with guitars is an interesting comparison. It is a bit novelty but it is absolutely fantastic.

007|Robyn 'Call Your Girlfriend'

A very good song but I wouldn't put it in my top 5 from 'Body Talk'.

006|Arcade Fire 'Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)'

Regine is excellent and the songs she has lead on are always great. This is easily my second favourite of theirs after 'Rebellion'.

004|Crystal Castles feat. Robert Smith 'Not In Love'

I think if this was released earlier in the year it would've been above 'Telephone' and 'Conversation 16' for me, such is its greatness. It keeps getting better and better, absolutely wonderful.

003|Owen Pallett 'E Is For Estranged'

Definitely one of the two best songs on the album along with 'Lewis Takes off His Shirt'

002|Crystal Castles 'Baptism'

Hmm, I do like this but it's not one of my favourites on the album. I can see why it would appeal so much though.

001|Robyn 'Dancing On My Own'

A great song and not at all surprising that it's your number one. Easily in my top 5 Robyn songs.

Great as always! :D
