January 3, 201114 yr I'll be curious to see how Jennifer Lopez gets on...she's been out of the game for a while and if you actually listen to her, she cannot actually sing
January 3, 201114 yr beady eye ( Liam Gallagher) Band will be releasing a new album at the end of February, Should do pretty well. I'm a bit concerned actually, the single didn't do much and if the album is in the same vein it could drop like a stone  I'm a big Oasis fan and I'm not sure I'll be buying it, far more interested in what Noel delivers. He's supposed to be sitting on some brilliant stuff (hopefully lost Oasis classics like "Stop the Clocks" and "I Wanna Live In A Dream In My Record Machine") and could be one of the few 'rock' acts to do well around Christmas if he's marketed properly.
January 3, 201114 yr The Sugababes will return and have a platinum album. Media attention on them is overwhelming, it's inevitable. Nicole Scherzinger will have a platinum album in the UK and the US due in part to a spot on US X-Factor
January 3, 201114 yr MASSIVE Amy Winehouse: if she plays her cards right she will be one of the biggest selling artists in 2011 (in UK)! Please release a masterpiece  Lady GaGa: worldwide she will dominate EVERYTHING! Enough said :P Beyonce: she will follow GaGa closely in terms of sales/success Coldplay: huge sales for one more time! Adele: second album will sell better than her debut! In between Flop and Survive Britney Spears: probably another number 1 in US and then FLOP! In UK, she will flop but not as hard as Christina :kink: ! Leona Lewis: i think she will do just a little better compared to her previous era, but nothing huge. Alexandra Burke: i think in singles charts she will be ok but in albums she will flop! Avril Lavigne: Nothing special. Typical sales for Avril FLOP R.E.M.:  i wish i could say they wouldn't flop, but it's so hard nowadays for bands like R.E.M. hope i'm wrong! Roxette: new album in over ten years! Hm..i smell flop! Mariah Carey: FLOP Jennifer Lopez: FLOP
January 3, 201114 yr Lady GaGa, Beyonce, Britney and Rihanna's inevitable rerelease with a few more smash hit singles will all dominate 2011. Christina Aguilera will try and flop again. Leona Lewis could get it together. Who knows?. Alexandra Burke will flop massively. Joining her will be Keisha Buchanan, Sugababes, The Wanted and Nicola Roberts. Cher Llyod will do well this year, same with One Direction. Matt Cardle should just about survive. I can't see him being anywhere near massive. Definitey hoping for big things from Adele  And Coldplay are set to have an amazing year :w00t: Edited January 3, 201114 yr by -Desire-
January 3, 201114 yr Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé and Coldplay will definitely do well. Gaga and Beyoncé have the potential to have million-selling albums again depending on material. Coldplay might drop in sales in comparison to their others but it will still be massive and one of the biggest-selling albums of the year, no doubt. Bruno Mars could really have a huge selling album if they get the singles right. I think Alexandra Burke might struggle as I think there's been some damage to her career that I won't go in to too much here in case I'm spectacularly wrong. On the other hand, I could see Matt Cardle doing well actually, and if Rebecca Ferguson makes an album to bore us all with it will probably be a decent seller in the Christmas market. Avril Lavigne may also struggle. I haven't heard her new material yet but she's been away a long time so could be a good pick to follow Anastacia, Christina Aguilera, Dido etc. down the $h!tter unless she comes back with something very strong. Leona Lewis really depends on material. More of the same and she'll continue her rapidly diminishing returns. Adele will do average, but enough to avoid the second album curse. Probably about the same or a bit less as her debut. Will Young will sell decently with his album as always but his days of hit singles are sadly over. Natasha Bedingfield will obviously bomb (to be honest I wish she'd just tell Daniel to make a new album, I miss him TERRIBLY but whatever). Foo Fighters and The Strokes won't really sell stacks but they'd still do decently with high charting albums, and obviously they'll do well on the live circuit and tings. Probably the same with blink-182 really. U2 will probably continue their shift to a more fanbase-orientated band commercially. Elbow could do very well after the success of their last era. Certainly a #1 album anyway, and probably a moderately successful lead single. Snow Patrol's new album will do well I think too. Unfortunately Blondie's new album will definitely flop, as much as I'd love for them to come back and do a 'Maria' with a #1 single. But alas, I doubt any act will ever be able to come back after such a long break and get a #1 single ever again. Same with Roxette, although without the unfortunately. No Doubt's album (if it actually comes out this year) is hard to predict - depends on material. Sugababes - no idea. I don't think it's too late for them quite yet but another stinker and it's probably officially over. That said I don't have any faith in them refinding their edge with their bland current line-up :/ Bring back the 2.0 line-up please. Just my opinionz! Edited January 3, 201114 yr by superbossanova

January 3, 201114 yr ARTIST THAT WILL BE HUGE: Lady Gaga: Well Its Gaga :kink: Rihanna: will continue with the hits Leona Lewis: if syco get there stuff right she will be huge again :) Bruno Mars: will have a huge album and singles Beyoncé: will have a huge comeback ARTIST THAT WILL DO ALRIGHT: Alexandra Burke: The album will do alright and first 3 singles will do too but the others will flop getting top 20's Matt Cardle: will get alright album sales and first 2 single will do alright but will flop hard after Jason Derulo: album will do terrible but singles will do alright Alexis Jordan: Album and 2nd single will get top 10 hits ARTIST THAT WILL FLOP: The Sugababes: Will flop and be forgotten
January 3, 201114 yr Leona will smash. the music she's been recording is incredible and alot more versatile than before. GaGa will smash due to her being everywhere and her psycho little monsters buying a copy of her album everyweek from there EMA's

January 4, 201114 yr Unfortunately Blondie's new album will definitely flop, as much as I'd love for them to come back and do a 'Maria' with a #1 single. But alas, I doubt any act will ever be able to come back after such a long break and get a #1 single ever again. What about Take That? They disappeared for 10 years and came back with a #1.
January 4, 201114 yr Probs echoing other posts but I predict Adele will be just as successful with 21 then what she was 19. However, whether the US still have interest in her is debateable. I can't see Sugababes bouncing back. I like them but i don't think anyone really cares about them anymore. I am hoping the upcoming band Soundgirl go on to be successful. They remind me a little of the sugababes and i just really like three of the songs i have heard from them so far.
January 4, 201114 yr It has to be the year that all the female singers with the best vocals, a strong range and can actually sing take back the charts.I think Beyonce will take back her crown from Rihanna and dominate the charts.Really hope Adele does well but Duffy has not made a great comeback but fingers crossed for her.Jennifer Hudson who has one of the best voices is back to so really want her to do well. Really excited for what Alexandra and Leona come back with but judging by the producers they are working with it seems there US record labels are in charge.Leona has worked with Dallas Austin, Ryan Tedder, Neyo and David Guetta while Alexandra has worked with RedOne,Sean Garrett, Ina Wroldston(Impossible) and Autumn Rowe (Happiness). January 4, 201114 yr What about Take That? They disappeared for 10 years and came back with a #1. You take everything way too literally, mate...
January 4, 201114 yr You take everything way too literally, mate... What other possible way could I have 'taken' that statement? You said artists can't go away for ages and then come back with a #1, I gave you an example of that happening recently thereby disproving your point. Edited January 4, 201114 yr by ★BlindFaithBray★

You said artists can't go away for ages and then come back with a #1, I gave you an example of that happening recently thereby disproving your point. Umm, how about taken it for what it was supposed to be - a completely throwaway statement? The point is that Blondie are never going to be able to come back like they did in 1999 - it was a one-time thing (hence why they completely flopped after...) Honestly, going around looking for errors in people's posts just so you can be an annoying know-it-all must get a tad boring :/
January 4, 201114 yr Well Diana Vickers is bringing out a second album this year...but to be honest, i really don't know how it will go lol I mean she needs to bring out 1 or 2 more successful singles which are given plenty of airplay and radioplay (i think theyre the same thing?)... i dont think it wil be a huge success, but im hoping for a moderate success and not a flop :L

January 4, 201114 yr Is Dido going to release anything this year? With a decent song, she can easily reach back the top.
