:yahoo: 3 songs in the top 5 for GaGa!

#1-#6 are basically the biggest US songs, and then #7-#10 are the biggest European songs.

It's criminal that Waka Waka, and Alors on danse, two of the biggest songs in the world, couldn't get high in the charts in the UK. :(

Also, I haven't heard the 64th biggest song of 2010 (according to this chart)! :o

I guess it's no suprise that 1 to 6 are basically the biggest US songs as anything that charts high in the US will be big around the rest of the world and the top 6 songs charted high virtually everywhere. The same is not necessarily the case with the biggest European hits. Yolanda Be Cool is an Australian production which was massive in Europe, Australia and South America but a more minor hit so far in North America and most of the rest of the world. Edward Maya's success started in the summer of 2009 and spread gradually throughout Europe ,then to South America and is only now a hit in North America hence 66 weeks in the Top 10 without reaching higher than 8. Alors on Danse was huge throughout the whole of Europe apart from the UK/Ireland but not nearly so much the in the rest of the world. Waka Waka was big in Western Europe, apart from UK/Ireland, and much of South America but didn't chart so high in North America and some other parts of the world.

As for Cuando me Enamora this is one of several spanish language songs which were massive hits throughout most if not all of Central and South America and the songs by Enrique Iglesias,Alejandro Sanz, Shakira were also big in Spain itself. There also songs which were big European hits but did relatively little elsewhere...e.g. Satellite,Bumpy Ride.

Lady Gaga was credited on 3 of the top 5. Rihanna was credited on 6 of the Top 100 (1, 12, 13, 25, 52 and 91) and David Guetta was also credited on 6 (15, 16, 37, 47, 61 and 72). Ke$ha was credited on 5 (4,57,65, 78 and 84) as was the Black Eyed Peas (18, 41, 53, 60 and 98). Katy Perry was credited on 4 (6, 23, 29 and 66). Lady Gaga and Rihanna were the two biggest acts in the world it appears but with the "featuring" thing it's arguable as to who's number one
