I think she is a bit unpleasant even just based on her twitter sometimes but I don't really care. It's all about the music (/thevoice) and I generally enjoy her bitchiness anyway.

She might actually have me back on board with this, it's really nice. A touch of house piano, rather Sarah Cracknell-esque vocals... yes.

I really like it, but like Shake it's not up there with the best of Hands. Still, I'm very interested in how the album turns out. And the artwork is still so lovely!! I hope the rest of the era lives up to it.

I love her music but she needs a Personality transplant,such a dull woman.

I like what I've heard of this album so far, everything's just THAT bit more sophisticated.

 

I find it all a bit mediocre :(

Really dislike it. She's hardly the queen of videos and yet this is a disappointment. I suppose it's not a New In Town-esque disaster though.

I only just listened to 'Every Night I Say A Prayer', I dare say if it actually had a strong chorus it could be a decent pop song, although I like the whole early 90s vibe it has going on. This definitely isn't the killer single she needs, and that video is just GHASTLY.

 

'Shake' wasn't killer single material either, but it was soooo much better than this.

Too many twinks, not enough Boots. That said is that the guy from the Young Professionals videos? :o

Love the new track, i think my fav by her is Remedy.

Headphones is apparently the "proper" single, out in July. Video being filmed, hopefully it's better than the video for ENISAP. Live performance here:

I just don't see her connecting with the masses ever. As good as the music can be ('Remedy' and 'Earthquake' etc). She is essentially a faceless Kylie with little star quality and little to pull people in (apart from your gay pop connoisseurs a la Popjustice).

What's with her obsession with buzz singles anyway?

It's GOOD. It's not particularly filling me with excitement though. :(

It doesn't REALLY get going until the final chorus but it's good enough to justify the wait I think. Will probably end up my favourite song of the era so far when we get it properly but I don't think it's a smash in the waiting right now.
