HDD has never been more then 50k off with anyone! They predicted Circus to sell 480k and it sold 505k.

 

I'm thinking the absolute most it will get this week is 330k. But that is still amazing for a March release.

That is 21 years away. It is obvious she had a lot more control of what she does in her career then you realize. I believe Britney would be this unhappy woman if she were doing the things you think she should. She doesn't want to to do interviews that are live probably for the fact that she will get hated on by people like you. On the MTV site the reviews for the special are great!

And btw, I think the problems she has are with her medication. Bi-polar medication can cause swelling in the throat a lot of times (hence her voice sounding so deep lately), anxiety, weakness, restlesness, are very common as well. If you don't think she deals with this on a daily basis with her personal life as well as her professional life then you are foolish. I really think she is doing the best she can.

 

-She broke her knee in 2004

-She had a massive breakdown in which she spiraled for over a year

-She went into a MENTAL facility for several weeks

-She had her food drugged up with prescription medication by her f***ed up "manager" for that entire year.

 

This is not an excuse but rather an explanation of where she is now in her life. Do not expect the Britney Spears from 2003 to ever come back, she has been publically ridiculed in every aspect of her life, f***ed over by every person she has let in including her parents. Excuse her for not knowing if she wants to still be working 21 years from now when she has been doing it since she was 7 years old, 22 years ago. Did you ever think she might seem like a conceited bitch for ASSUMING she would be like Madonna in her 50's? She said more then 3 times in this special she genuinely loves her job, you get the hint of one thing she says, takes it out of context and throw this temper tantrum on how YOU should think she should retire.

 

NEWSFLASH she doesn't have to work anymore. She is making music and releasing it on her terms, so I believe she is just fine where she is... and you are disgruntled because she isn't doing what YOU think she should be doing to please her fans. The thing that drove her to insanity just 3 years ago.

 

Na, it's the way she answers that question. There is fear and sadness in her voice. Call me a wannabe psychatrist or fantasist, whatever - but I'm doing psychology in college and I'm training to become a social worker so I can tell. I may even show some of the clips in class to see what everyone else thinks. I also noted how when asked questions about the future of her career and her childhood she would flick her foot violently showing she was really uncomfortable with the questions. Why? Look how she answers the 'creativity' question too, she seems so lost and doesn't even know what to say. Come on, it's not a hard question to answer. It makes me wonder if she even gets to speak her mind anymore.

 

And it's for these reasons precisely that I think after this album she needs a proper f***ing break. Yes, there were 4 years in between 'In The Zone' and 'Blackout' but it was during this time that she became mentally unstable so she's never really had a proper break in my opinion.

 

I don't ever expect Britney to return to her former glory, that girl is not there anymore. Something has happened to her above and beyond the breakdown that has changed her for good. I'd love to know what that is. And I'm also intrigued as to what the f*** they're drugging the poor girl with. Of course she will say she genuinelly enjoys her job, you think she'd say she hates it? You think anyone would let her say she hates it? Ha! I was hasty with the retire notion but a long break she does indeed require.

 

Also, pretty sure she was still contracted to release another album under Jive. How would her retiring please her fans? And where did I imply that? I personally want her to take time out, yeah. I'm pretty sure her fans don't want her to retire so what are you talking about?

And I'd just like to make this clear - you make out I'm attacking her with your bulletpoint $h!te, I'm not at all. I don't ever expect her to return to what she was. It's painfully clear she does do quite a lot of things she doesn't want to doubt. I don't doubt that she loves her music and dancing and will continue to all her life but it's again, painfully clear, that she has little to no creative control and little to no choice with these things, so what's the f***ing point? Look at Lady GaGa (annoying example, I know) she has control over most things in her career, as do most artists. Britney once had a lot of control, no longer.

 

And I swear to god if anyone starts calling me negative or a hater I'll lose it because you're seriously deluded. I love this girl to pieces, I'm simply concerned for her.

Wether any of us have been following her cloesly or not only she knows if she's happy or not. If anything to me she seems ok but just shying away from interviews, like she said recently she's trying to block the media out, it seems like her one word answers are probably a way of doing that.

Britney didnt even do a good interview when she was on ryan seacrest premiering Till the World Ends.

I don't think she's blocking anything out and she's certainly not in any rush to quit the music business, otherwise she'd have not promoted the era and ended it after the album was released. She certainly wouldn't be going on tour.

 

I think you'll find she's just being less open to the media, before she kindah said whatever was on her mind and now she's being more careful. And after what she's been through in the last 5 years, I really don't blame her.
