I like it a lot on first listen. 8.5/10 Anyone know how many songs are going through to the final tonight? I do hope Taken By A Stranger goes through - I think What Happened To Me Today will definitely go further, typical Lena song. My rank; 1. Taken By A Stranger 2. Good News 3. Bloody hell most Melodifestivalen finals don't even have that kind of hit rate... :mellow: I think the biggest surprise is that I didn't rate anything above 8.5 so far! This is going by my BJSC rating system anyway which is; 10.0 - incredible 9.5 - brilliant 9.0 - great 8.5 - very good 8.0 - good 7.5 - quite good 7.0 - above average 6.0/6.5 - average 5.0 - below average Below 5.0 - awful/not to my taste It seems odd rating this anyway, seeing as I'm basically rating half of her new album, which is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. To compare it to Melodifestivalen isn't really fair seeing as this is one of my favourite artists presenting her new album for the first time, whereas that's a collection of different artists/songs which I like to varying degrees with different genres represented, some of which obviously won't be to my taste. Lena could sing the phonebook and I'd love it, I'm just a big fan of her voice/personality :wub: If a load of 8.5's is me looning too much upon hearing half of an album from an artist I love, steer clear of the BJ artist forums, namely Britney/GaGa/Katy Perry and Rihanna where 9.5's, 10's and 11's are thrown around like nobody's business and 8.5's are blasphemous!
January 31, 201114 yr Glad to see Germany appreciating Taken By A Stranger, if it was just based on this semi, that would be a great and innovative Eurovision entry. What Happened To Me Today I'm pleased to see get through too :D Don't care overmuch for Maybe right now but no doubt it will grow in the context of the album.
