It would be interesting to see it rereleased as it does so well on downloads and music video airplay alone.

I think it came quite high on a music channel's Top Christmas songs as well. I can't remember which channel. -_-

I agree it would do really well if it were re-released physically, but I don't really believe in re-releases unless there's an actual reason, like underperformance or whatever, it would just be a money thing if they re-released it, but still it would be nice to see Mariah have a high charting at Christmas. :D
I think Sony will re-release it one day... they like doing that :P
They'll have to time it carefully though. If there is a long gap between new material, it would be a good way to keep Mariah in the spotlight.

Another top ten hit would look very good on Mariah's chart record after the last two singles underperformed.

Do it, Maz!

Or better yet release some new material this year. Perhaps a song for a soundtrack or this Janet thing.

They could do it for charity. A 'money thing' but in a good way.

I think 'Imagine' and 'Fairytale Of New York' were re-released for that reason.

Fairytale Of New York annoyed me a LOT, because they did it for her memory yes that's all fine and dandy if the song was a classic that underperformed, but it wasn't, it was successful the first time round and I hate re-issuing songs for no reason, take note Elvis and Jacko, that's why I wouldn't really want Mariah to re-release. -_-

With the demise of the physical single, re-issuing will become redundant.

Everything will always be available online so re-issuing will become logically impossible.

But "Christmas" is still chart ineligible. -_-
The charity idea is a good one. Regardless of eligibility and the lack of physical releases, it would keep Mariah in the spotlight if she has been out of the limelight for a while producing a new album for us all. The video would be played even more at Christmas for example, maybe some limited promotion would be possible. :)
