Posted January 21, 201114 yr 2011 will see The Saturdays take on Europe! Discuss any of their future releases and hopeful rise to fame away from the UK and Ireland, here! And for a bit of fun, predict the first single to be released over-seas! Release Scheduelle April 15th Higher (feat. Flo Rida) | Summer TBC Headlines http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/8914/228468327.jpg ^^ From Una's Twitter "In Berlin meeting our German Label! :)" Edited February 13, 201114 yr by 2ndAdventure
January 21, 201114 yr Higher will probs be first I think :) Or maybe they'll wait until the new single's out and release that in Europe?
January 21, 201114 yr If they are already talking with the lables it's because they don't have time to make it later with the Tour...so the promotion must be starting very soon. I think they'll promote a single in the radios now and through the summer, and they could release the expanded Headlines! as well. Let's wait and see, and hope they release a single in many countries as possible!
January 21, 201114 yr Well of the existing singles I'd go for 'Higher' myself, with Flo Rida on it aswell of course. I cant imagine his inclusion being nothing but a plus in terms of help. It's the most recent, has sold extremly well in the UK and it just makes sense really. It, 'Ego' and 'Missing You' are the only real contenders here I think.
January 21, 201114 yr Well Headlines has 4 UK top 10 singles on it so it will probably be one of those. I can see Chasing Lights era being brushed over, and then carry on with the view that Headlines is their second album, and wordshaker is a word i just made up.
January 23, 201114 yr up would be best choice for first single, it's their biggest hit, it was big hit in my country (serbia)... work should be second, and then new tracks :)
January 23, 201114 yr I think they should release 'Higher' first, then 'Up' or 'Ego', then the album, which I think should go like this: 1. Higher (feat. Flo-Rida) 2. Ego 3. Here Standing 4. Issues 5. If this Is Love 6. Up! 7. One Shot 8. Missing You 9. Work 10. Just Can't get Enough 11. (New Song) 12. Fall 13. (New Song) 14. Set Me Off 15. Forever Is Over Then, after they release the album, release Issues and Missing You. It'd be better to use as many songs as they could on first album and then when they release a song, they could release it in Britain and Europe at the same time. Maybe album 2 or 3 (if they got that faar) could include some other songs (like Wordshaker, Puppet, Chasing Lights, Keep her etc..)
February 13, 201114 yr From The-Saturdays.co-uk: The Saturdays eye Europe As expected the girls are going to attempt to break into markets across the world. Starting up in Germany as per their recent visit before the Headlines Tour started. Early news suggests that the lead single will be Higher – due to be released in April – and followed by a album release in the Summer. I would expect any European release album to be the new UK album with certain songs from their previous UK albums on, so Higher, Ego etc. Hopefully the news of them hitting Germany will filter around countries nearby such as Holland, France, Spain etc. and the group can start taking on Europe as well as the UK. More information as we get it :) they didn't post the source, though. Edited February 13, 201114 yr by The47thbelmon
February 13, 201114 yr The album might be a compilation as well, like a few tracks from CL, WS and Headlines respectively.
February 13, 201114 yr Author From what i've heard, that may clash with their UK release scheduelle. Oh dear...
February 13, 201114 yr A German magazine confirms the release of Higher for April 15th and the release of Headlines! for the summer :yahoo: Here: http://frankieger.tumblr.com/post/32182177...-german-magazin
February 13, 201114 yr Thats great new about higher! Hope it does well for them :) I know this is irrelevant but I was in Berlin two weeks ago and heard 'Missing you' playing in Dunkin Donuts  I was so happy it was unreal lol
February 13, 201114 yr Author Wehay, nice read :) Slightly worried about their 'world-wide' release scheduelles though now. They're gonna be releasing Headlines over-seas and their new album in the UK, whilst also releasing Higher (which may I say is a fantastic debut single) with a new track in the UK similtaniously (aparently).
February 13, 201114 yr Well, the album release is a bit unclear for now, so the magazine could've said "Headlines" just because it is their latest album...when the time comes they could release directly the new album and just adding Higher to it. The most positive thing is that we have now a date. I'm guessing it will be like they used to do in the UK: 4/6 weeks of promotion in radios before the single is out.

Haven't Germany also got on the bandwaggon of the 'on air/on sale' sales approach? I thought we were one of the last countries in Europe to do it. If Germany are also doing 'on air/on sale' then they'll release the reccord first, then promote it.
