Stars including KINGS OF LEON, PINK, BOB DYLAN and BON JOVI have joined the campaign to raise money for victims of the Australian floods by donating tracks to a new charity album.

The state of Queensland has been left devastated after heavy rains caused major flooding in the region earlier this month (Jan11), with more than 25 people feared dead and thousands forced to flee their homes.

A campaign has been launched to fund the massive clean-up operation, and a number of high-profile stars have lent their support to a money-raising CD called Flood Relief - Artists For The Flood Appeal.

The record features 59 previously unreleased tracks, also from Australian artists including Powderfinger, Midnight Oil and Crowded House. Every artist has offered their music for free, according to the AAP.

Great idea and for a good cause, people will buy this to get the tracks and raise money for charity.
I wonder if Kylie or Dannii will have tracks? They are 2 of the most famous Aussie celebs out there

^ That was the first name other than P!nk's that I recognised.

Fantastic, I wonder if another Australian star called Delta Goodrem will be on there.

I hope it is a real unreleased track, and not an unreleased track that super-fans have already heard

Sounds good though :D

Probably something we've heard already, even though I'm hoping it's new material!

Just noticed Bon Jovi are on this too!!!!! :w00t:

I must start reading things properly

 I thought that it would be the second most noticed name after Pink :P

That would be a huge disappointment.. But I'm not expecting any of those artist to write and record a new song for this

They dont have to write a new song for it though Frank, it could be an unreleased track from years ago, Pink has loads of those, I've seen the list

Got a good point there Laura, but it would have to be something that sounds current dont you think?

Yeah, they could use a left over track from their latest album, they may have even recorded it already if that is the case, so they dont really have to do much work......of course if they are just using album tracks as that link says, they dont have to do any work at all  i'm still not happy about this, I was looking forward to hearing something new from both Pink & Bon Jovi!
