February 9, 201114 yr Yes, 2011 is going to be Adele's year. I just hope it doesn't changer her - she's so down to earth and bloody hilarious!
February 9, 201114 yr This album is AMAZING! This is one of the few things I have seen you post that actually make sense to me

February 11, 201114 yr Has a second single been announced yet? With someone like you already a top 40 hit, it would be mad not to release it. It's a potential top 3 hit for Adele personally. Maybe number 1?
February 12, 201114 yr It looks like SLY is set to be the second single after all! Edited February 12, 201114 yr by Frank!
February 13, 201114 yr I really hope this extreme success doesn't change Adele and I genuinely believe it won't. I was alerted to this youtube performance of Hometown Glory today. It's at The Roxy in LA in 2008. When singing the song in the US, Adele tends to omit the '$h!t' lyric. She does the same here but someone in the crowd decides to sing it for her. What happens next is just fantastic. She's such a laugh. The fun starts approx 1.50 in.
February 13, 201114 yr does adele's music remind anyone else of Paloma faith, or is it just me No, cant be compared to eachother at all. Literally nothing is similar about them. I really hope this extreme success doesn't change Adele and I genuinely believe it won't. It wont change her, she'll always be so down to earth, her TWO Grammy's didnt change her, and neither will this phenomenal success. Edited February 13, 201114 yr by Karma
February 13, 201114 yr does adele's music remind anyone else of Paloma faith, or is it just me  I would be reasonably confident to says it's definitely just you. Their music has nothing whatsoever in common to my ears. Are you sure you meant Paloma Faith? Edited February 13, 201114 yr by bellboys
February 14, 201114 yr I love Adele. She's so honest and her music is amazing. True definition of a star <3

Im hearing great reviews from this album, can someone tell me who shes like who else shes similar to
February 14, 201114 yr There's no one to compare her to in today's pop music. Check her out on youtube!
February 14, 201114 yr ha i love that video! :P i hope someone like you and set fire to the rain both get released at one point. hopefully one of the near the time x factor's on so that maybe she can perform it on there and it'll be absolutely huge!
February 14, 201114 yr She's absolutely stitched on to be a special guest on X Factor this year! She's now reached the A-list, she loves the show (watches it at Alan Carr's house, apparently) and when Simon Cowell told her he loved her album (19) and her voice on Xtra Factor a couple of years ago she almost melted!! PS She's apparently singing SLY at The Brits tomorrow so my hunch is that's gonna be the second single, with Set Fire after that. Edited February 14, 201114 yr by bellboys
February 14, 201114 yr Id love to see more homegrown talent on XF, like marina, florence, pixie. thiere always american superstars and who have people write music for them :(

Im hearing great reviews from this album, can someone tell me who shes like who else shes similar to The singer she's most like will mean nothing to the vast majority on here (and neither should it as she's a black American blues singer from a different era), Etta James. But brought up to date, if you see what I mean. I genuinely can't say there's any singer currently who is like her. IMO, at the moment, I think Adele, along with K D Lang, is the finest live female singer in the world. Have a look on youtube there's loads of stuff to view. A fine example of how she emotes a song live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_Zs7XS3XUo Edited February 14, 201114 yr by bellboys
