Did anyone see the amount of hate Adele is getting on the Digital Spy forums? one poster in particular is quite pathetic.

Adele won 12 BBMAs, isn't that another record for her? :P

A 64th week in the top 10 last week put '21' as the tied second longest top 10 run for an album by a female solo artist - only Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Little Pill' is ahead, on 72, while 'The Sound Of Music' OCT has the overall record with 109.

 

Also, the album is now at least #29 in the SoundScan era (1991-present) overall rankings and the first album to pass 9 million in a year, the last one being a catalogue album trickling past the mark.

'21' has just been certified 16x platinum in the UK, pulling further ahead as the most certified album of all time.

#3 this week and probably about another 15,000 sales.

I still believe it will have another week at number 1 in the not too distant future.

While the album looks likely to slip out of the UK top 10 this week, in Ireland it incurs a slight drop of 1 place to number 3.

Number 16 in the midweeks, so its gonna be 3 weeks in a row with no Adele Top 10, there was me believing she would return after a 1 week absence.

21 has matched the US female top 10 longevity record, spending a 72nd week in the top 10 to match the previous record set by Alanis Morissette's 'Jagged Little Pill'. Comes just days after she arguably did the same in the UK, getting a 73rd week to match Lady Gaga's 'The Fame' (although 'Back To Black' is on 74 including its deluxe edition and the double album with 'Frank').

With 21 back in the top 10 she will have over took Amy Winehouse now.

21 returns to the number 1 in Ireland this week, truely an amazing success.

'One and Only' was performed on X Factor today. Makes a change from the usual Adele songs being performed. Currently at #87 on iTunes with '21' back at #18.

No doubt a few Adele songs will pop up on X Factor which could see some singles re-enter the chart and also keep the album selling.

'One And Only' #99 today following its performance on the X Factor, giving Adele a 10th top 100 hit and 6th from this album :D

With x factor i think more songs will re enter maybe another album track appear and also sales of the album will climb again.

Feels like it's been sitting on 9.9m for ages, finally past 10m :D

Last week 21 sold over 9,000 in the UK at number 48. These sales are higher than some weeks when she was top 20. While her chart position is lower at the moment she is still selling a decent amount of albums. I do wonder can 21 ever make 5 million UK sales. At the moment it is more or less half a million sales away from doing it.

She should re-release '21' with 'Skyfall' tacked on the end and new album artwork, maybe also one more single which could be released in New Year. It would probably quite easily make up the remaining 1/2 million to 5 million.

For the first time since its release 21 drops out of the Irish top 20, falling 20 places to number 49 this week.

21 still doing amazingly well, still happily sitting at number 22 this week. The album i believe will manage to stay around in the lower parts of the chart for quiet a few months of this year.
