February 11, 201114 yr Might scrape T10 on the week of physical release, then plummet, since they don't have Taio's fans to prop them up this time.Wasn't Party Girls downloads actually higher then theor Physical and sold better then they have for a number of year and already Thats The truth has been doing ok on I tunes Despite no promotion and little Play on Radio (Radio1 at least)
February 11, 201114 yr Did either of the the past 2 get R1 A- listed :o - i'm surprsed given their dodgy, chart integrity killing use of ringtone chart downloads past (or was that Busted? -just all the same boyband one finished the other started it all blurred into never ending boyband hell :( ) However it IS currently ON the Radio2 C list: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/music/playlist/next-week/ Westlife fans said their second single had been chosen by the fans......that didn't stop it from being cancelled from lack of interest HOWEVER their rec co Syco is renown for screwing over acts but anyway Mcfly own their own label, so its irrelevant i guessTHATS A whole LOT of RINGTONES! ;) Lets see, 750K divided by the number of concerts/divided by the number of fans they managed to coerce into downloading the ringtones at each concert (+ accounting for multiple downloading + spare mobiles for 2 at once download + extra sad girlies downloading outside of concert time) = lots girlies romantic nature taken advantage of= ZERO chart integrity of resulting chart position' {sorry that was too much of a humorous (self) therapeutic opportunity to miss pls IGNORE + carry on}Mcfly's Super city website is about the fans a place where they get all the content before anyone else Infact it's where Mcfly leak all their own stuff and have webchats and ask fans what they want and really get the fans involved. The last 2 singles have NOT had any ringtones/download offers just the standard i Tunes download and 2 cds and mayb i add the last 2 singles have sold better on downloads then Physical release like past mcfly singles
February 11, 201114 yr Author Good performance on Comedy Rocks just then! Plus a bit of Shine A Light as well so hopefully both will benefit a little from this!
February 11, 201114 yr Good performance on Comedy Rocks just then! Plus a bit of Shine A Light as well so hopefully both will benefit a little from this!Mcfly are a talented bunch and i hope they get more chances like that to prove people wrong. They really come alive when on Tour
February 11, 201114 yr Author Mcfly are a talented bunch and i hope they get more chances like that to prove people wrong. They really come alive when on Tour I know they are great! Seeing them in March!
February 11, 201114 yr I know they are great! Seeing them in March!Me too at Birmingham LG Arena You? I've seen them on every Tour apart from their 2004 one. I think TOM should do another solo on the Grand Piano like in the wonderland Tour Edited February 11, 201114 yr by itsme123
February 11, 201114 yr Might scrape T10 on the week of physical release, then plummet, since they don't have Taio's fans to prop them up this time.I don't think it has anything todo with Taio to be fair. Mcfly and Taio had only performed the song together once so all the promotion was just Mcfly anyway Shine a Light is up to 38 on I tunes and Thhats The truth is at 113 thanks to their performance on Comedy Rocks. Had that been 3 years ago they wouldn't have entered on I tunes but now adays it seems a lot easier for them on downloads Above The Noise Album has somehow climbed to 25 on I Tunes Album charts Edited February 12, 201114 yr by itsme123
February 12, 201114 yr Author Me too at Birmingham LG Arena You? I've seen them on every Tour apart from their 2004 one. I think TOM should do another solo on the Grand Piano like in the wonderland Tour Nottingham - first night! This will be my 4th time. I've enjoyed every tour and am confident this one will be great aswell! Great to see McFly get a boost from Comedy Rocks, especially with the album :o Because afterall they need as much help as they can get with the album!
February 12, 201114 yr I am not a big Mcfly Fan ... But since Shine a Light I thought I like this new music from them more grown up and up to date. Then I found this a few weeks ago and instantly liked it.. hope they stay with this kind of music cant tolerate their old stuff
February 17, 201114 yr I think it will miss the top 10 Radio 1 havent play listed it yet (Capital FM and Radio 2 have) and there's been hardly any promotion of it i think #13/14 I could be wrong though Edited February 17, 201114 yr by itsme123
February 17, 201114 yr THATS A whole LOT of RINGTONES! ;) Lets see, 750K divided by the number of concerts/divided by the number of fans they managed to coerce into downloading the ringtones at each concert (+ accounting for multiple downloading + spare mobiles for 2 at once download + extra sad girlies downloading outside of concert time) = lots girlies romantic nature taken advantage of= ZERO chart integrity of resulting chart position' {sorry that was too much of a humorous (self) therapeutic opportunity to miss pls IGNORE + carry on} That's a really nasty thing to say. 1. I did not have a phone when Meet Me Halfway was popular. 2. Just because Meet Me Halfway is a love song, it does not mean that only girls bought it. 3. If people even were using the song for ringtones, they don't need to multi-buy for different phones. You can transfer a song around different phones with ease. 4. Why on Earth would you divide their sales figures by the number of concerts they did? What is your logic behind that proposal? 5. You are such an idiot. If you divide the number of concerts by the number of fans "coerced" into buying the song at each concert, you'd get a number less than 1 (unless a fraction of a person was coerced into buying a song, but that's physically impossible, not to mention, you want to account for supposed "multi-buying"). THEREFORE, if you then divide 750,000 by THAT number (a number less than 1), you're actually INCREASING its value. For example, if the BEPs did 9 concerts, and 130 people bought the song at each concert, you get 9/130, which is 0.069. Then, 750,000/0.069 is 11,000,000. So according to your, so-called, reasoning, Meet Me Halfway is one of the best-selling songs of all-time!! Well done. Utter PHAIL!! :nocheer: How do you find your behaviour therapeutic?
March 1, 201114 yr Should enter the top 15 easily with it doing fairly good on I tunes atm Edited March 1, 201114 yr by itsme123
March 2, 201114 yr Thought the song would be performing a bit better than it is. But I still predict a Top 20 hit hopefully for next week! :)
March 2, 201114 yr I'd be really surprised if it goes Top 20 next week, it's not even Top 75 yet! And it's not doing *that* well on iTunes...
March 2, 201114 yr Author Should enter the top 15 easily with it doing fairly good on I tunes atm Hopefully but then again, if it's had barely any promo or airplay, will people know it's out?
March 2, 201114 yr Can a chart mod rename the title to 'McFly'? I keep thinking this topic is about something completely different (Latvia Eurovision 2003 :kink:)
March 2, 201114 yr Author Can a chart mod rename the title to 'McFly'? I keep thinking this topic is about something completely different (Latvia Eurovision 2003 :kink:) I've renamed it! Don't know how it happened to be honest
March 2, 201114 yr Hopefully but then again, if it's had barely any promo or airplay, will people know it's out? It's had little airplay but it's had some from Capital FM and radio 2 and actually had more airplay then Do Ya which managed number 18. Mcfly will be on Radio 1 Sunday 7-8pm and doing a set list for them Day Break monday Alan Titchmarsh wednesday and they have a signing on Monday and Tuesday
March 8, 201114 yr The mids are in, That's The Truth is just Top 40 at the moment... and we all know that their sales are always front loaded for the week, so it's pretty likely that come Sunday it's gonna miss the Top 40 altogether!! I always knew this day would come :( Edited March 8, 201114 yr by mango7
