...despite pleas for an interview, Madonna refused to talk to the South Wales Echo to commemorate her first ever Welsh gig this forthcoming Sunday (which is still not sold out - 15,000 tickets still available!).

So...this week they're doing a feature on Welsh super Madonna fans...and one of my best mates is being interviewed. He's been a fan since 1983, has everything she's done, down to every foreign limited edition... he remortgaged his flat to see her on the last tour, and has numerous gorgeous pieces of Madonna art on his walls. This will be his 8th Madonna gig.

It'll be in the paper this week for any Welsh Madge fans here....

My boyfriend lives just across the river - facing it..... and, as I absolutely refuse to pay her scandalous prices yet again.... we're going to be having a drink, at home, with the windows wide open... that is unless he's working there (he works for a security company and may be doing the gig).
Ah that's cool! You'd better stay away from the clubs after the concert too

Club X and Exit are bound to be jammed to the rafters I imagine.... ;)
It's probably because Wales is a bigger venue :), and she probably wants to be different to most other massive artists and go to Wales, cause she's sold out the most part of the venue, and the capacity is around 80k?

Mmmm yer cos i sed Birmingham cos the N.E.C is ten times smaller than Wales so she would've sold out quicker but i guess she's sold most of the tickets so its all good.
Yeh I can see why you said NEC, but she's sold way over 50,000 tickets for the Wales event I think?

the NEC's a horrible venue, though - miles from anywhere and c**p sound.

The Millennium Stadium is probably the finest venue in the country....

well, it's surely one of them, if not THE best - after all - the English seem very keen to borrow it at every opportunity.

It's also a stunning design architecture wise - I've travelled the country seeing gigs and I've seen nothing that comes anywhere near - have you?

I'm working at the Stadium on Sunday so i get to see her for free, and get payed

 And if your by the stage you get front row tickets and get paid!! Very lucky... Thousands of people would envy you :D

I've worked there doing security loads.... you don't actually get to see any of the gig unless you're one of the lucky few who patrol the ground. The others are stuck outside the venue or on the doors...and even if you're in the stands - you have to stand with your back to the stage and facing the audience.

And if you're working in one of the bars - you won't see a thing as these are in separate sections from the main area.

I was offered work there Sunday but turned it down - no fun :(

Yeh that is true. But when the show starts, people will not be buying programmes really, so you are free to have like 10 minute loooks everynow and again(accroding to my bro who works there), which is good enough for me tbh..

It shall be a good atmosphere anywhooo.

Aw i wont be that far forward -_- But it'd still be cool..
