Another song released from one of the years earlier albums, this was the second single and became their lowest charting in the UK for 6 years.

The debut solo single from Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke, this was a change of direction from normal Bloc Party output. I'm still waiting for Princess Superstar to start singing. LET ME HEAR YOU SCREAM IF YOU WANT SOME MORE

'Tenderoni' shouldn't be that high! Bleh.

It only made my list because I didn't like the majority of what was put forward and I had at least enjoyed listening to Tenderoni once.

Another act who've been something of a favourite on BuzzJack in the past year with the release of their second self-titled album, this is Crystal Castles first song which appears of the four which were nominated. It's somewhat different to the others.

After their first entry finished just outside the top 15 this finishes just inside. The lead single from their 2010 album.

2010 was definitely the year of Mumford and Sons as they got bigger and bigger throughout. This single never made the UK top 30 but sold well in excess of 100,000 copies and its parent album spent most of the year in the top 10 going on to sell just shy of a million. They're even a rarity in a British band who's gone to America and had very good success over there.

Vampire Weekend certainly had one of the most anticipated album of the year, following up their self-titled 2008 debut widely regarded as one of the decade's finest. They did a stellar job in doing so and this second single from it was probably the standout from it.

The song which whet everyones appetite for one of 2010s best albums, 'Celestica' was the lead single from 'Crystal Castles' and was something of a departure from their usual sound, it was still fabulous nontheless.

Originally released in the autumn of 2009 their debut album was released last summer and the re-release of this soon followed. They didn't really perform anywhere near as much as the hype suggested in the end, but unfortunately their album didn't compare to the greatness of their early singles such as this and 'I Felt Stupid'.

New Zealand's finest probably came to most people's attention in the first Unknown Pleasures last summer. They're huge in their home country and deservedly so, this is due for another release in the UK shortly and they'll be getting a fairly big push.

One of the few songs from 'Plastic Beach' which didn't feature any guest vocalists, this was the third and final single to be taken from it and shows Damon Albarn still has it.
